Tuareg Guitarist Bombino Live at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz

Thank you so much for posting this video! I was at that show at Moes, it was just a legendary event to witness. Bombino is such an enormously talented guitarist. I feel like I know what it must have been like to hear Jimi Hendrix play in front of you, it was that good of a show. My heart goes out to the Tuareg people, they have a lot of problems to overcome. Bombino and his band are a great voice for their people. I can't wait until they come back to Santa Cruz!

Thanks so much for putting this up! I was at that show at Moe's Alley. I have lived in Santa Cruz since 1999 and have been to tons of shows at ol' Moes, but this show was my favorite. I heard about Bombino in advance thanks to the "Unfiltered Camels" radio show on our local college station. It was just spine-tingling being in the same room as this incredible musician. You got the kind of vibe that one would have felt if they were watching Hendrix play or something! Please, more SC Bombino!

I just found out about Omara Moctar or Bombino, if you prefer, from the San Jose weekly magazine...."Metro". I am so pleased to be introduced to this level of music. This is heavenly! What incredible grooves they have. So sorry that I missed the show in Santa Cruz, but I will be on the look out for this group to return to the Bay Area! Great stuff. Just bought his new CD "Agadez" and track # 2 and # 7 are just fantastic! I feel like this music is my "lucky find of the year"! What talent!
