About 35 years ago I did some work on a FarmHand Tub grinder at a feedlot in our State, My brother and his two sons erected a steel building, with the tube grinder inside it, dumping into a john Deere silage wagon, where it was conveyed across a drive way by a Patz chain conveyor to a Kelly Duplex Horizontal mixer.. the Grinder was powered by an huge Electric moor,,, all conveying equip was controlled by the Mixer in an a/c control room,,, The mixed ration, Rolled corn, silage, chopped hay molassas, was distributed to the Pens by a BJM Scaled truck, twice a day............... The rotating mass in the grinder was always required constant maint as to balance..... or it would develope severe vibrations, which caused Fatigue Cracks in the frame and welds...........
