No auto-tune on Erika's voice or any processing at all on the instruments. Just pure musical talent from the entire band who knows how to use dynamics. Music is made to move air... an analog guy here living in a digital world - but that digital world gives us the ability to hear them...

My wife and I are big-time Swing dancers and Swing Dance teachers. And for years in the SF Bay Area we would go out dancing several times a week to the best bands. It was about 2014 Tuba Skinny went on tour and had two nights in San Francisco with big dance floors. Those were the two best dance nights I’ve ever had!! Like many bands they really get inspired by the dancers and they really cut loose in a different, new and awesome way when they have a dance floor boogieing to them 🎉 After their gig at the huge and perfect Russian center ballroom, they held court and hung out in the exit foyer, talking to all their fans. It was awesome!

When I was young in the 1950s i saw Ray Charles sing this at the Frolics Ballroom in Allentown,Pa and to think I also saw Fats Domino,Jerry Lee Lewis,Little Richard and others before i was drafted into the Army and was with Elvis Presley in Fort Hood,TX and Germany.

Good ol Brother Ray would be tickled if he could hear this! I've never heard a ragtime-Dixieland jazz group before that was so much fun! I heard many years ago a true musician taps their foot on every beat of the bar. I never managed do it naturally but these amazing people actually do .Perhaps it's only a small matter of what is the genius of Tuba Skinny. Or is it.

Went to see the Louisiana Philharmonic do Bolero a few years ago and noticed that the musicians did not tap their feet. A little later at a party I met a classical musician and asked about this. She said that they're trained to keep time in their heads.
