So I'm hoping to set up a Crowdfund to finance them coming to tour the midlands and north of England (and Wales and Scotland). (But not fucking Scotts!) The amount of pratice and rehearsal work behind this seemingly effortless playing must be fantastic. They are THE most amazing jazz group I've ever heard for making my feet tap and my heart sing. Wish me luck. I WILL get them her or die!!

I first discovered this band when I watched them for several hours when they played on Royal Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans many years ago. They are, in my opinion, the most authentic New Orleans jazz band every. Their ensemble and solo playing equals some of the greats such as Jelly Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers, the Louis Armstrong Hot Five and the King Oliver Band. They are also incredibly versatile and creative, especially when they play country blues e.g Blind Boy Fuller's Untrue Blues, hillbilly, e.g Jimmie Rodgers' Sweet Mama Hurry Home, Memphis Minnie's Me and My Chauffeur and this great swing contribution with Barnabus with an amazing vocal. Truly an exceptional bunch of musicians
