I think actions are very inconsistent across the industry. I like a soft tip rod but also want backbone so I guess I would say med/heavy. TO me the most important thing is straight fluorocarbon line - I use Seaguar 8lb AbrzX

Yes- in heavier cover whether it be rock or wood. I exclusively use a Strike King 3.5 inch coffee tube.

Yes, it's more for clear lakes and sparser cover. In heavy cover or dirty water I would just go to a totally different technique.
