Once your feed is done, WASH HANDS before!!!! disconnecting or flushing. Cleanliness helps to prevent germs getting passed onto gtube and equipment. It was forgotten to be shown in video, trying to help out newbies in the world of tube feeding.

How many hours can you keep a feeding bag and formula, is it 24 hours and then you discard the bag in the formula.. my mom is on continuous feeding, The hospital gave me 15 minutes of training I had to go on KZbin in order to do it correctly, I understand from some people some hospitals and give them no training at all, it’s a some these a shame hospitals.

This company is despicable, i also had 15 minutes of so called training.....15 minutes !!!! the woman never even told me about my boyfriends g-j tube, she never once looked at his tube to go over the most important aspects of his g j tube, she showed me how to prep the effing machne, SHE NEVER TOLD ME NOT TO BOLUS INTO THE J TUBE !!!! She never told me to clean the damn tube...NOTHING !! This compay should be sued for for malpractice, this woman had 12 days to give me instructions, I was at the hospital ever damn day, all day, she waited until a half hour before he was released from the hospital, it was the weekend and when I called the numbef on the PAMPHLET - no one was there to answer the damn phone !! Hoenst to GOD, they need to be shut down - its always about the damn money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not the patient !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 250ml milk and I want it to be given in 1hr and 30 minutes, how much do I have to put in Feed Rate, I set it 150mL and it lasts 2hrs and 30 minutes, how to calculate 250ml and it lasts 1hr and 30 minutes, thanks

I bet this reply is extremely late but hope it helps someone just divide the amount of food you want given by the amount of time. So in this case 250/1.5 hours. That puts you at approx 167 ml per hour.

The only way you would get one is if you have an illness what makes you not able to swallow or if you lose touch weight your doctor might consider it that is in the UK tho

bolus feeding is the use of 60 ml syringe, connects to the peg tube, pour the liquid into it and let it flow via gravity.
