If you can find some ...................6SL7 Kenrad chrome cylindric plates , ECC35 mullard and CV1985 ..........;the latter has even glass tube sleevings as protection on the wiring inside as seen in some 845 W also ( NU)....... People who may listen principally to classical music may prefer european made tubes , with some exceptions like RCA etc.......

I need a schematic for a tube phono preamp for pre-war 78rpm records (not RIAA).. Turnover Rolloff Columbia (1925) 200 Hz (250) -7 dB (-8.5) Any ideas where to look? Thanks

Sorry 78's are not my specialty, if a simple Google search doesn't work, you may need to contact your local Ham Radio club someone will almost certainly have a schematic for what you need.

Another GREAT EL 34 is the genuine NOS made by the former TESLA factory .........not earlier JJ that rebranded their EL34 with the Tesla logo ! >These are as good asd the Mullards ........some may even like them a bit better ..... I have a lovely experience with those tubes , pity I sold most of them in the nineties.... And their E34L was the greatest bass performer I ever heard ..............JJ makes copies of the E34L but they are nothing a like with original Tesla and the sound is not the same !

Yes the true vintage Tesla's are good sounding tubes, unfortunately they have proven to be much less reliable than almost any vintage EL34 I can name.
