Use a dremel and the cotton tips it does a SIGNIFICANTLY better job than qtips. Trust me I've done both would never use qtips again unless ultra small contacts (ethernet) also I HIGHLY recommend doing 2 applications of red, then use 1-2 gold deoxit if it's a gold contact, then one coat of blue. The blue (shield) REALLY makes a difference on the contacts staying really nice for long. Without it, the red alone will NOT last longer than a month. I have a true world class end game system I promise this all makes a noticeable difference.

You mean for resistance? If you can see oxidation on the surface, I wouldn't even waste a second to measure the resistance, you know already it needs to be cleaned. It's a good idea, but the episode was already too long! We've been doing a lot of bench testing of our new RCA Cable Kits (coming soon), as they go through development, maybe we'll do a Tube Lab showing how to test interconnect cables for resistance and capacitance.
