So it's very late and I just saw this video and it looks amazing so I'm gonna watch it tomorrow. I wish it was available before I bought my preamp. If I was born a year and a half later no, it's a year and a half earlier I think it would've been available before I bought my preamp. Least I got preamp with tubes. So waking up will be worthwhile tomorrow so I can look forward this video. I am tempted to watch it tonight but it's too long which is OK. I could've started watching it before I wrote this and then I probably would've been almost through it but I started writing this and it's hard going back. All this because I wasn't born year and a half later I think. Cows are done heating the place so they get to go outside right now

DACs output 2+V over RCA and 4+V over XLR. (sorry to mention this exception)

Ah interesting, now is that 4vrms or 4vpp? Many dac chips I've looked at use a vpp measurement. The only time we work with balanced circuits is with our Otari r2r decks and even then we drop one phase and wire custom unbalanced interconnects.

@@tubelab194 I don't know how those priced above $1K do it, but it's Vrms for all those I bought in the past 5 years, in the mainstream category.
