Doesn't lubricating the chains allow for additional dust collection in the machine? that sounds like it would bring more harm than good..

I don't have this machine, but I do cut and bale a lot of hay,and there generally isn't a lot of dust at this stage of the game. The hay is still drying, so leaf dust or field dust should be minimal.
