Yeah, the area surrounding the park isn't exactly the most lavish, and the park doesn't operate for much of the year. It isn't uncommon to see some mold, algae, or moss growing in areas across the waterpark from the closed season. Some seasons it's immaculate, some seasons the staff seems completely indifferent to the guests. The slides themselves are extremely fun, and the ones that look the grossest with the flash-on camera are from the 90s. They're just older and hard water stained. Hold your nose, don't swallow or spit the water (IN ANY WATERPARK!🤢), and take a good shower the second you're home.🤷‍♂️

Das ursprüngliche Video aus dem Park dürfte mit das erste Video von euch aus den USA sein, das ich gesehen habe. Dass das schon über 8 Jahre her ist... Die Drohnenaufnahmen in diesem Video sind aber nochmal ein klares Upgrade zu damals😁

I grew up going to this waterpark! I must say I'm a little heartbroken they removed the Old Yeller matt slides that used to be on the hillside where the water coaster now is. You could spend hours going down the 6 meandering slides because they were impossible to figure out. They were the most well-known signature slides of the park. I also remember when the tower structure holding RIptide Raftin, Baby Blue and Big Red, and the two yellow body slides was opened. I must've climbed those stairs 500 times. You can also see this waterpark from I-95, so passing it every single day to and from high school was torturous, because I'd rather have been at Rapids than at school.

CAUSE WATERPARKS AND WATERSLIDES ARE FUN BUT THERES NOT THAT MANY DAYS LEFT FOR WATERPARK SEASON CAUSE NEXT WEEKEND IS LABOR DAY WEEKEND, THAT WILL BE THE END OF SUMMER SEASON

Hello, this is a person that goes to Rapids all the time I’ve been on all the waterslides except to which are black thunder and black brain drain do you think black thunder is fun and what is the most thrilling or fun ride in your opinion

Black Thunder is amazing, we love the sudden drop in the dark! Most thrilling ride at Rapids may be Brain Drain for the trap door start. We love all the rides there :)

Ok! i was just there yesterday day and I couldn’t go on ether because brain drain was closed and black thunder had a HUGE line

WELL YOU KNOW WHAT PEOPLE, IF YOU LIVE NEAR ORALANDO IN FLORIDA, AND BESIDES ORLANDO IS IN FLORIDA YOU COULD PROBABLY WALK TO THE WATERPARK DOWN IN FLORIDA 🏝🏖🌊

@famfamfam5782 Their Lazy River also has its own wave machine in one section, rapid jets in another section, and 2 very strong waterfalls off a bridge that are hard to dodge. It is basically a 90's version of Volcabo Bay's adventure river. And their wave pool is fantastic, it's just not a slide so it isn't in this video.

In your opinion is big thunder or black thunder more scary?

i haven’t been on black thunder yet, but i would say black thunder because its pitch black in there, but its basically the same thing as big thunder.

@OksanaTenman-sq2qj Black Thunder! Their funnels are the exact same size, but the closed funnel on Black Thunder means you don't see the drop coming, and the darkness makes it feel faster. The final few turns out of the funnel also keep a surprising amount of speed, so your raft goes way up the sides, unlike Big Thunder's very slow exit from the funnel.

Auch wieder gutes Video! Nett zu sehen, dass sich seit meinem letzten Besuch im 2018 etwas verändert hat. Ich war etwa zwei Mal dort und freue mich darauf, es wieder zu besuchen. Ein Blick zurück bringt ein wenig Nostalgie! 🙂
