You are an inspiration 😊 for an ofw looking for business that I love which is aquarium fish. I have 2 tanks in my room with guppies neon tetra s and angel fish zebra danios and tiger Barb and I have 3 male Bettas in empty bottle. Such stress relief when I am going home after work😊🙏
Feeding tubifex is very good for all tropical fishes. Compare to the fish pellets that most breeders used.

You should put another row on top, just bridge the top with hard PVC pipe. You will use the wasted space up there that you paid to have as part of the rack. The way they eat them you will need to produce tons more.

Question, if these tubifex feeds on fish waste, could I put these tubifex on my aquarium? Since they eat the waste that the fishes produced and the fishes eat these tubifex, would that balance the whole system? I mean, they, the tubifex, could live on the aquarium soil, and my fish LOVES to dig the ground, so I reckon that maybe it would work...thank you if you answered my weird (maybe) question...

in japan koi grow in mud pond not on clear water it endangers them from predator.. it depends on your purpose.. if it is for growing or for display to sell
@owensaviation28566 жыл бұрын
Nature I own koi and goldfish in my pond and well for dexter I suggest as in his big pond it is very dark coloured and he does a lot of filter to see the fish but it needs a uv filter to stop algae and in the fry pond it can help to prevent the growth of algae which could possibly kill some of them.

Hi Dexter I followed this steps to culture tubifex. However i did it on a smaller scale with two boxes and a aquarium below the boxes to collect the water which would be pumped back up into the boxes. The tubifex would eat the decaying vegetable but very quickly the water would turn brown and would give a very bad smell. I had to stop the culutre because of that. I would like to start the culture but how can i avoid the bad smell that comes.

Awesome video. Just one thing, I thing you misspoke when you said too much oxygen. When I visited a few of the koi farms in Japan all the farm owners told me you could never have enough oxygen. Oxygen as a young fish is crucial to development and growth of the fish as a whole and especially the gills/breathing system and if I remember correctly it also helps combat sickness. But overall this was an awesome video and a cool series. It was fun to see where tubifex come from in the wild. Being from the USA I don't think I've ever seen them around here. Good luck with your fishy endeavors!

Hi dexter, thank you for another great video brother. I just 1 question. In your previous video when you collected tubifex worms from the lake. You had to clean and process them.
