Tubing a Trophy Trout Silverton, Oregon

Went to Silver Creek Reservoir last week and got some nibbles on a bass tube. So I got some small tubes (White Tiger, Jerrys lures, drycreekoutfitters.com) and Gamakatsu tube head 25, at BiMart in Keizer. Tide on 6lb mono leader to my 30lb braid, headed back out this week to the reservoir and thought I would do something I never heard a trout angler do.
Water temp was around 46F, and the angler in his Cumberland tube and myself fished shallow (6 to 10 foot) on a submerged point. Both of us were catching nice frying pan size, but then boy did I get a surprise.

LOL yep I won't deny it. Especially since the leader I had tied on was only 6lb mono. I felt that stretch in my hand as I was trying to get it in my kayak.

Thank you. I was pretty sure it was. That back fin on top was clipped I believe. It also looked like it had scars on its back, as if it survived an Osprey attack.

I have no idea. I saw other people’s videos at other locations saying the State went about putting them in. Trout fishing is not my usual thing. I just assumed because of the size. However a local told me it looked too big for a brooder? I don’t know. Caught it again just the other day. Check the next video.

Oh look everyone, it's CAPTAIN OBVIOUS. I'm surprised with your powers of observation you didn't mention that the fish was wet too. I crack up thinking you clicked on this video with a thought that I was a professional. Then getting all mad when you found out I wasn't, and felt you had to create this self-humiliating post. It was anger, wasn't it? It couldn't have been jealousy. Was it? Come on man, it was a brooder. Oregon fishing. They fill the fishery's with starving stock trout that require no skill to catch. ODFW is scheduled to come out in February '25 to put 1000 trophy's in. Step out of mom's basement, put away the hate, and come fishing.
