As a recovering alcoholic This hits deep. I went way farther than I should have. Somehow I made it. 246 days sober. Never looking back, but I cant help but remember the pain and how much I lost. How much I saved. How gone will I go was something I asked myself every day back then while drinking from the time I woke up to time I went to sleep. Even holding down a solid 40 plus hour job drinking all day. Self destruction is an evil thing. Thank God for sobriety.

LYRICS: I'm gonna get outta here Outta here one of these days No more talkin' about Talkin' about breakin' these chains I'm gonna pack it up and run like hell Nothin' more than me, myself and I Make hard enough, not at all Take a chance and leave it all behind Just because I can don't mean I will The right feels wrong but wrong's all that I feel Dear someone, can you tell me what I don't know How gone will I go How gone will I go Might be a ghost town tumbleweed Runnin' out right off man Could be a halfway brokedown Boomerang that don't come back For now I'm lightin' up the chain Hopin' cigarettes and rain mix good Waitin' for my mind to find a place A compass never could If I leave now I might be gone a while I'll be back sugar-coated with denial It's so easy to say so tell me why I ain't so How gone will I go How gone will I go How gone will I go Tell me I ain't that gone Tell me I ain't that gone Tell me I ain't that gone Tell me I ain't that gone How gone will I go How gone will I go How gone will I go How gone will I go

Commenting again...sorry. Tucker, stay strong man. Loss can bring the best or the worst out of people. Apparently its bringing greatness out of you. I lost my 10 month old daughter. Lost my life. My future. She fought like hell to make it back home before she let God take her here in my living room. This song hits the heart like getting stabbed. Its real. It full of emotion. It's beautiful. Dont quit making true meaningful music from the heart brother. Love it. Keep it up. You're great

This song forces me to remember and feel what I blocked out for so long. I’m not sure why… but finally feeling something, even confusion, is better than feeling nothing. Better than the emptiness and loneliness that life brings. Not where I need to be but praise god I’m not where i I was.

THIS... This is the song!!! My mother is and has been a drug addict since as young as I can remember. I struggled my whole childhood and adulthood trying to help her. I carry such a silent massive hatred for her, while I cheer for her outloud. Yet somehow I can't seem to let her go, I can't seem to stop helping and believing in her, no matter the amount of times I'm constantly broken by her. Honestly not sure how this song relates other than, how much of myself will I continue to lose in the process of her redemption.
@michelleandrew2211 Жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry sweetheart...... unfortunately you can't change the fact that she is your mother....keep believing though, weather it happens or not, you've got to keep on the faith and believing, and even when its so hard keep loving her, and always remember she NEVER EVER does what she does to hurt you. I PROMISE YOU THAT. ❤
