What saddens me if they were still in their original positions, they wouldn't have had this civil conversation. Maybe that says a lot of the legacy media and how it operates. There's a lot more critical thought online. I do not agree with most of Chris Cuomo's politics. Some of the things he said in the interview could be challenged. However, I think if he's willing to have a civil conversation that's respectable and no one should discourage that.

I slowly realized that when Cuomo said he started his career with Fox News, it is almost directly inverse to Carlson's career where he started with CNN. These networks are widely considered politically biased, one on the left and one on the right depending on who you ask. So, it is rather serendipitous that after being canned by their respective networks, these two are talking about the things that matter most. I didn't expect Carlson to be so compassionate towards his old rival's follies and mistreatment. I didn't expect Cuomo to be so self-critical and excuse all of CNN's actions, and also compliment Carlson on his general grit through his own hard-ship. Both had some predictable opinions on the political and socio-economic landscape of the modern US. Agreed on some things and had surprising takes on other issues. This all made for a compelling and sometimes funny conversation from two people that care about the country and future. Good show.

It's EASY to have this kind of discussion when your livelihood/funding/job doesn't depend upon those that PAY you to have the bias and put forward the ideas you're paid to put forward. You aren't trying to convince each other that you're right or wrong, or the audience. So it doesn't get heated or devolve into slander, screaming, talking over one another and ad-hominem attacks.

Interesting to see 2 men of the same age and one is very secure in himself and the other still has lots of lessons to learn in life from what I observed in this interview. I could not stand seeing or hearing Tucker before leaving Fox. But seeing him and keeping an “open mind” about this person has made me do a 360 on my thoughts on Tucker. He’s genuine, f’ing funny as hell with his goofy laugh 😂 and most importantly authentic, fair and really open minded to hear others opinions and ALSO not afraid to admit to his short comings which is a seldom trait in people. He’s more in tune with himself as a soul trying to do his thing on his time on earth. It’s beautiful to see. I think Chris can learn a lot from this man in my opinion (learning in regards to what life is really about). Looking inward rather than outward is where true freedom within comes from. Tucker is goofy af but dam!! I’ve learned to love and respect this man ❤️. Truly a kind and genuine guy within. Love the fact he calls himself a 🍆😄 and knows he can be 🤷🏻‍♀️😂.

Chris, I have been following you for a short while. But that is because I was never a news person before Trump came into politics. I was an admirer of both your Dad and Brother during their terms as governor of New York State. I would still vote for Andrew as president if he ever ran. But since I stumbled in your KZbin station, I have become a fan of yours. But after listening to you and Tucker Carlson, I have even more admiration for you and I don’t see Tucker as a serious mean conservative. I saw his humor and his humanism. I liked what I heard from both of you, not that I agree with everything either one of you has to say. But what I have learned from both of you tonight is invaluable as it showed me how to understand the trials of my life and bit more. At 77, it is about time, so I thank both of you for doing this great conversation. ❤❤❤❤❤

Chris, I used to despise you at CNN, and I feel bad about that, but you just seemed to have changed and I can say that I respected your interview with Tucker a lot. Thank you!

I would have never even thought about watching this except that I saw Mr. Cuomo on Patrick Bet David- maybe I would have just wanted to support Tucker but def am still wounded by Chris’s very voice but know how much It matters to break these gut wrenching relationship scares across our whole country!

I enjoyed this interview and discussion so much this is the third time I'm watching it. Just seeing the two of these guys sitting down together and having a civil conversation makes me feel really good and I wish this could happen more often.

I have been in the recruitment business for over 20 years and watched the hiring & firing process. Getting fired hurts especially men. It could be a good think. I have seen new businesses start, creativity begin and families unify. People have also died while living. Very sad. Tucker has very good points regarding getting fired. Chris trust the process and change your language. ❤

Just started following you cause I have seen you on PBD and with Tucker and although I don’t agree with much of your opinions I do agree with some and that’s ok. Most importantly you seem like a reasonable decent human being who wants conversation and not a divided angry America. We can disagree and not be enemies

I don't agree with most of your politics, but you are a gentleman. It's a loss to CNN that you are not with them, and a win for independent media and critical thinkers that you are now on your own, you will do well - just remain independent minded!

As a MAGA conservative, this type of dialog does move the needle. I loved the conversation. It humanizes both parties and is something missing from the confirmation bias that both sides are exposed to. I’d love to see more!

Watch the Dave Smith debate. Chris is not any kind of stand up man. This is all for show. He's being fake.

Always felt Chris was the most authentic anchor on CNN, and never believed the lies about him. This was an excellent talk! Could never watch Tucker but after the departure from Fox there is a new found respect for him and his opinions and takes on different subjects.

When Chris mentioned how no one called from CNN because of things that were said about him, instantly made me think about movie Trumbo. Worth a re-watch with the current state of the west.

Im a big Tucker fan only because we have same viewpoints. As of Chris i actually did not like him in CNN, i think CNN didnt use Chris to his best of abilities. I think this is the type of Chris people like. One who is able to converse with people who are on opposite sides. This is how you unify people, by simple “conversing” with people civilly. I definitely enjoyed this conversation. They did not agree on everything but was definitely refreshing side of Chris! Great job man!

Not big on commenting on traditional "News" videos but you guys knocked it out of the park 🎉 I think it's great that you two were able to converse without every-other-word being an utterance of blame and belittlement of the other person's point of view. Unless a person is experiencing current events live & in-person we have to get information from some source -- thank you for keeping it real 💯 -- keep up the fight, entrepreneurship is hard 😅 God bless & God Bless the USA 🙏

Two good men caused a relationship between dignity and politics. My late mom who'd be 106 years old last month had told me that you don't have to lie to make a sell. You don't have to lie to win people's hearts. It's ok to make a mistake as long as you recognize and are willing to change. I am glad to see the positive interviews between these two men. I remember, Tucker said more than once that he rather die than lie.

We love you Chris! You're much better off outside of CNN and I'm confident your balanced views and good nature will shine through and this show will be huge someday. It's much better here for this country than it'd ever be on CNN.. You're free to do what you really want. Plus. Who cares about cable anyway!

No Way! The Bat and Joker were enemies to the core! Maybe my personality blessed me with accomodations that reached far beyond most. But I've always had friends that couldn't imagine how I came to the stances I held firm to. Yet we both knew, when s**t hit the fan, we had each other's back. I believe, if you need to surround yourself with people who will agree with you all the time, your weak. Good friendships are like the vision our Founding Fathers had for the government. Checks and Balances.

Finally a bit of light on the horizon. Loved this so much. For my part, I will no longer watch ANY video whose title contains the words, "destroys", "obliterates", "humiliates", etc... If we refuse to consume that destructive, polarizing approach, maybe things can change...
