These are dumb southern hick communities that rely on welfare. Make no mistake, poverty is driven by poor education, mostly. Poverty increases crime. The north does not have crime like this until you enter the rural communities where there is little to no money. So ask yourself why do Democrats have the largest economies in the country (CA, NY, NJ, MA, IL, CT, etc.) and the Republicans only have Texas and Florida (traditionally swings, republican last 2 presidential cycles, though Trump's home state for 2020) in the top 10 largest economies in the country. Seriously consider why the south has such bad poverty and the north does not. It sucks to reconcile but really consider that people in the North may just want to help people in the South who then spit on them and spit is then returned back. Life sucks. Reality sucks. The south is full of poverty, poverty from wage stagnation and industry leaving the mid-west to go to the coasts where is cheaper to trade. I hate that we likely will not agree because a difference in reality that has been driven between both parties on a basis that gets out to vote more, out of rage/anger/fear etc. My anger here stems from the fact that political leaders in the south point fingers at problems, offer solutions that don't work because they are based in emotion (economics being blamed on "other people" being immigrants and those of color), and ensure that public schools receive little funding. I'd love if you weren't given a meticulously crafted misleading version of reality because political leaders believe you'll believe whatever answer they give to a problem as long as it is "felt" by the average voter. This continues of cycle of seeing and hearing what you believe to be true, and makes it hard after many years to abandon what you have learned to be "true."
