It's best to keep that propeller pitch in check. Not to mention that it simply sounds annoying when the engine is over-revving.

Will check, but in theory, it should be a constant speed propeller and the governor should keep it at almost the same rpm all the time. at least the Z50LS and Extra 300 I flew worked the same.

@@TUCKIE10 It looks like only a few Pitts modifications have constant-speed propeller (including S-2C), but the S-2S here is not among them. At least that's not how Asobo modeled it: there is the prop handle that regulates prop-pitch in it. It doesn't seem like they cared to factor in over-revving damage, but if it was there, I'm afraid we would really have to keep an eye on the revs and MAP.

Thanks for the info, will check. Anyway the Extra and Z50 has constant speed propeller and also prop handle you select the rpm with the prop handle, governor maintains that rpm. For aerobatics in reality, throttle and prop to full forward and you only look outside and regularly check altitude and sped gauge inside... And yes, the damage model has an option for engine stress damage but it's not working.

@@TUCKIE10 That surely is interesting. Thought it would either be full-auto (with probably a manual back-up mode) or fully manual. Thanks for sharing that. In the Asobo's Pitts I always have to work that handle to keep the RPMs in the zone (I mostly pay attention to the fuel flow gauge first though). I also use the prop pitch to make the plane speed up faster on the way down from a Hammerhead. I didn't do any tests on that, but I'm pretty sure that it drops like a stone that way compared to the handle pushed full forward. Going straight up, however, is a whole different story, of course. By the way, don't you think both the Pitts and the Extra react to the ailerons a bit too weird in MFS?

On the way down, at least on aerobatic contests, we want to gain the exact speed for the next maneuver, but if we make a too long line by accelerating too much, we will finish lower and the pull to level will be at more G. I have not flown the Pitts in reality, but the Extra 300 (not 330) and the CAP10B (not C). And yes, the roll response needs to be adressed in MFS. Too much roll inertia and a tendency to lose control when full stick deflection is reached. When I fly aerobatic planes in this sim I only use 50% of roll input. But also the stall has to be adressed, by now it's impossible to perform snap rolls. :(

I'm jealous and frustrated. I've tried every which way, but cannot get this scenery to show in the sim. I've got several other sceneries loaded just fine, but this one refuses to show. I even downloaded the modman mod manager program to install it and same result. Side note, great flying! Gwen Shotwell and Elon Musk would have heart attacks if this was real life LOL.

Lol Thanks! I thought I has a problem too, but the question is that my custom installation Community folder stopped working and I had to install it into the default Community folder like the installation Pdf says.

@@TUCKIE10 I'll go and try that. Thanks!

@@TUCKIE10 I see in your link there was a newer version. I installed that and it works!
