TUCKING 35s ON STOCK HEIGHT DURAMAX?? Explained!

I decided to make a short video showing it is possible to tuck 35s on a stock height duramax. I have seen many people saying how it is not possible without extensive trimming and cranking their torsion keys. I have stock keys turned up right at 1/4”, Bilstein 5100 2” Lift shocks and the rest is stock. Feel free to ask questions and leave any comments down below! Thanks for watching.

Looks good , I was gonna put 315 75 16s on my DMAX 2500HD , BUT I WOULD HAVE TO RETUNE MY EFI LIVE AND REGEAR TO 4.30 S , AND I DIDNT WANT TO LOSE ANY ACCELERATION, SO I WENT 285 75 16s , but those 315s sure look alot better I must say, good job brother

You got a very nice truck, mine was a one owner also. Nothing to delete on my 2001 2500HD lb7. . Those are beefy looking tires. I put a smooth quite all season tires on mine, I wanted a quite ride with the best fuel mileage as possible. My other two trucks a 1999 2500 - and 2004 3500 got AT tires. My 2001 and 1999 has 265/75/16’s they look better then the 245’s/75/16’s they came out with . My 2004 3500 8.1 gas has 235/75/16’s they tow really good.

As someone who only runs 35s on my gmt800s (half ton and 3/4 ton) I can say it does reduce your tow tremendously especially on the grades that’s where u feel it most. I don’t wanna re-gear, hell they aren’t even lifted just slightly cranked, I want my trucks as stock as possible. However looking to down size to 285s to get some tow capacity back. 03 Sierra 2500HD CCSB 4x4 with 35 inch toyos/ 01 silverado ECSB 1500 4x4 with 35 inch stt’s

i have a 2004 half ton single cab 4wd with 33s. Wanna run 35s soon and turn it into my first ever overlanding rig. Any advice on what sort of lift it would require to fit larger tires?? I dont want it to be extremely high btw

@@rickbalderas7153 just get some after market keys and crank it a bit up front, as for the rear that’s up to you but these half tons are pretty good about clearing 35s in the rear no problem

Looks good! Have a 2012 dmax im gonna put 35s on and wasnt sure what width spacers but ill probably do 2" like yours. I noticed some surface rust on your frame, my f350 plow truck looked similar and i started coating it with fluidfilm a couple times a year. It kinda melted the surface rust off and now it just looks black. Stuff beads water pretty well and keeps rust from coming back.

yeah, that's how much he had to trim to turn at ride height... hit a bump and turn at same time and you'll accomplish a fender liner delete as well... possibly a washer reservoir delete too... the thing is, the more you space, the more you trim.... how do I know ? cause I'm on 37s on a 2" lift... only cost about $10k because I get industry discount... 🤷‍♂️

Clean cuts done nicely most folks just grab a zaw zaw and hack away knowledge is power and this videos proof I have a 03 classic lb7 I run 37x17x13.5 Baja mud claws and they'll rooster all the way to the heavens tell ya what lol very nice truck though take care of it and she'll run forever

What brand spacers? And are they hub centric? I have a ‘19 3500 Duramax and my old ‘03 duramax, too expensive to delete my l5p so I’m gonna play with the old truck. Want to put 35s on it too. Nice truck BTW.

Very clean duramax I was deciding on runnin. Same setup toyos or grapps I think graps are good if you don’t daily drive the truck but toyos are the way to go if you daily drive it. I’m about to run. 35s on a 3 in level on my 07 gmc

You’re running 2” spacers front and rear? Or just on the front for clearance? I’m sitting on 35 12.5’s right now on stocks for winter….. and mine definitely rub on the sway bar and on the upper control arm….

Your 33inch if lucky. Try a true 35 12.5 18. I have 34 inch MasterCraft tires. On mine. Then done rub. No lift cutting or anything.
