The energy crisis was mentioned. We had a delightful light display on every house for blocks in a nearby neighborhood here in Illinois. It was called CandyLane. It was an after grandma's house tradition on Xmas. Watching this brought back memories. How beautiful Winter Winterhaven is! Thanks for your tour. Please enjoy your holiday!

For some reason, I remember being told there was a covenant for Winter Haven that required you to light up your yard and house in some manner. Was it required at one time???

Hello, I’m not sure if it was ever required, but despite popular belief, it isn’t required of its residents today. Most decorate because they want to give back to the community and because they love the holiday season. Thank you for checking out the channel! 🌵🌵🌵

I have heard that Winterheaven is a gated community and residents are required to decorate the home and yard for Xmas. Is this actually the case?

No, it is not gated and no it is not required to decorate, but most people who live in Winterhaven love the opportunity to do so
