I own the Reverse Panda, purchased new from my AD July 2021. Three months later, in October, I was using the chrono, and both pushers stopped working. No click, nothing. The chrono was running, and the watch was running, but I could not shut off, nor reset the chrono. Took it back to my AD, they sent it in under warranty. Two months later, in December, got it back. Been fine since, but truthfully, I almost never use the chrono function.

Just subbed. I have had some BAD watch experiences so after 4 months of non- stop wear my new TAG HEUER Glass Box Carrera……blue, tri-compax, date at 6:00. Runs 4 hrtz and 39 mm. It will take awhile to get comfortable. It was close to $7K USD but man, it’s gorgeous and so far, no problems. Give the new Carreras a look. Fine vid. I do not own a Tudor……yet. :-)

I had the same issue with my reverse panda chrono. I brought it back to Rolex, waited 5 weeks and was presented with a new scratch in the case and the same misaligned hand. Could not be bothered to bring it back again so in the end, I sold it. I have a Speedmaster and I never had an issue. Even after 14 years, it runs and aligns perfectly. Good luck with the repair 👍

I have that same problem with my Tudor Chrono. It's not as much as yours, but it's not directly over the line like I expected from a $5k watch. Also when I set the time, the minute hand moves a little when I push the crown back in making it hard to get an exact minute hand position.
@DA_Karas7 ай бұрын
What frustrates me most about this is that Tudor gets a pass on all these issues yet Tag Heuer (or name another company) gets absolutely trashed for everything. I can't think of another brand that released a defective movement to customers (the GMT datewheel issue). That should have been a reputation killer yet the big watch channels all gave the same message that this was typical of new movements (no, it definitely is not!) Tudor has raised their prices to ~$5K and deserves this scrutiny because it's a lot of money. Another point is that Longines is competing for the same kind of customers yet they are depicted as lower quality by many watch channels despite never having these qc issues yet Tudor is given all this publicity despite having only the Black Bay as a hit. It's interesting to see how people depict certain brands and shows that despite all the intellectualizing we do, it's still very much an emotional purchase.

You do realise that's the term brands is from the branding irons that used to be on livestock to stop people stealing your property. So by wearing brands which we all do is telling these companies that you are allowing yourself to be livestock. Just saying

I had the S&G Chrono and I noticed it was a quarter second off to the left one day. I freaked out, and as I was handling it and turning it different directions, the second hand shifted a quarter second too far to the right. There was play in the second hand. I assumed that was normal for this watch and didn't think anything of it. Got a reverse panda today and there's no play. Another difference between the two is the crystal. The S&G had a super smoky ring around the edge of the crystal, thought that was normal since I saw other people commenting on it. Thought it made the watch look really cheap. Got rid of the watch for that reason. The reverse panda i just got has no smokiness in crystal unless I shine a flashlight on it at a very specific angle, very different appearance. I'm thinking they have gone through some production phases and are doing some Kaizen over there, that's my take. Current watch seems better in those two ways, but we'll see what happens. did you try doing a little shake of the watch to see if the second hand bounces back? My Omega Speedmaster Master Chrono had no play, and it definitely made the Tudor seem cheap. I thought the Tudor was really premium until I got that Omega on my wrist and it was much nicer. However, got rid of that for being too blingy. This reverse panda Tudor is where it's at, even though it isn't on the same level as the Omega. I got rid of the Omega.

I had this issue with my Speedmaster. I sent it off and got it fixed, it came back and a few weeks later happened again. It really put me off Omega so I can imagine how you're feeling with the Tudor. I now have a Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver to scratch my chronograph itch instead. I do own a Tudor Pelagos which I've had zero issues with...I think some of it is luck of the draw, but it shouldn't be happening to any watches in these price brackets really.

I feel for you on this issue. Hang in there. Watches are complex mechanical devises and things can and will go wrong. No watch company is perfect with zero defect otherwise they would not offer a warranty. Cars are the same. The best cars in the world have issues and recalls. No different with a mechanical watch. I suspect the sweep hand tube may have slipped slightly on the center pinion under a possible hard reset from the bottom of the dial. Likely will just have a new sweep hand installed and set and you will be good to go.

Tudor movements and QC are abysmal, sorry to hear about this, but I’m not surprised it happened… us watch fans just don’t hear about these issues because the Tudor fan base is just extremely elitist and pretentious about not being pretentious, and will refuse to acknowledge any faults with their favorite brand.
@Theewatchdad7 ай бұрын
I’m confused by this lol. Im a realist. We all have our fav brands right but I can call a spade a spade. Tudor is not Rolex. Nowhere near it. And the Tudor fan boys seem to think they are. Tudor isn’t even in the top 15 in watch sales. I love my panda and when I get it back I hope I don’t have any other issues. Tudor will never pass Omega or even Cartier in popularity and sales so I don’t really understand why these people act like Tudor is elite
@alex54717 ай бұрын
@@Theewatchdad Totally agree with your thoughts I definitely think the elitism stems from wanting to stand out from the "normal" watch consumer crowd that pretty much only knows about Rolex. Thus, they cling onto lesser known, niche brands like Tudor as a means of identity and pride whilst disparaging Rolex. Of course, as you know very clearly by now, the great irony in all of this is that Tudor is literally Rolex's inferior sister brand, and that their Kenissi-based movements are EXTREMELY unreliable and prone to errors. At the end of the day, I have no gripe with Tudor or people that buy Tudor; just the elitists, because they don't acknowledge or call out the many issues their watches have, leave prospective buyers in the dark about legitimate issues, and are extremely defensive and critical those that try to bring these issues to light. More people need to call out Tudor on their faults such as yourself, because they are very prevalent. I hope your watch gets better 👍
