Tudor Mania - Full Review - Comparison - Rundown on EVERYTHING!

I tried on the Fxd, pro, bb36, ranger and Pelagos at my local AD. Could have afforded to buy any of them and they all were in stock. I picked the Ranger simply because it was the best overall in my opinion. All the “cons” everyone talks about in various videos were actually what I considered to be its strengths. Simple dial, brushed case, painted indices, no added text etc. It’s a tool watch with dependable functionality being its only job. The Ranger accomplishes the task with its simplicity, legibility and ruggedness. I originally fell in love with the Explorer years ago for the same reasons. However when I see them side by side now the Ranger still wins. Polished cases, applied indices with shiny numerals etc just feels like a watch to wear on a short hike after you park your Porsche. Not me at all. I’ll take the Ranger over most any watch. Anyway, thanks for the reviews and comparisons!

Loved the look of the pro but dismissed it due to thicknesses. Almost 2 years after release i was able to try one on. Was blown away with how beautiful it it was and how the thickness was totally fine - makes it look more masculine and sporty. Bought one 1 week later.....love the watch! Great review btw.

Ranger is such an underrated watch. I have a sub no date, and I honestly wear the Ranger more as an everyday watch

You're one of the few reviewers that gives the Ranger the praise it deserves...at least in my eyes. Didn't expected to love it as much as a actually do. My most worn watch. Had the 214270 and a 114270 in the past...really prefer the Ranger over both of them. Absolutely love the printed dial instead of applied markers... didn't struggle with that a second...hey, it's a field watch...in the widest sense at least.

I don't own the Pelagos but I do own the Ranger and the Pro. I sold my Explorer II and I missed it so I got the Pro. With that said I did buy the Ranger first while on the wait list for the Explorer I 36mm or new 40mm. Since owning the Ranger I know longer want the Explorer I. It's a tight competition between the Ranger and the Pro and like you I'm smitten with the Pro for its beauty and build quality but first place has to go to the Ranger. At the end of the day all you really need is a tough durable watch that tells time and that's the Ranger. I cannot justify purchasing the Explorer I for almost $ 4000 more and they don't even have the glide lock or T fit. As much hate as the Ranger has gotten I think Tudor perfected it with this new 39mm version. Personally what would make it perfect would be a 37mm version.

In Portugal and these are new prices for 2024 it’s 3.420€ on official Tudor website used to be less than 3k ! Got The Pelagos LHD , BB Heritage Burgundy, GMT Diet Pepsi and Tudor Pro need the Chrono S&G hopefully Tudor will can and do this year a smaller version please!!!! Lug to lug 50.5 mm it’s huge plus thickness ( that doesn’t bother me ) only the gigantic lug to lug or tip to tip its way to big and have 50 mm watches but not that thickness so it disguises the huge hockey disc 🤣! Enjoy your watches mate by the way I’m new in your channel do you collect more watches? Cheer’s man have great 2024 and wish Tudor make a smaller version of chronographs it’s all I’m waiting for have 3 chronos it’s ok but that Bi Compax S&G it’s amazing black dial on steel and gold center links ( I kno it’s rapped gold leaf ) love it the Panda version it’s almost impossible to read/see time the black /reversed Panda it’s better but want to go gold just little bit of 🌶️ not too much 😎👌✌️

the pro is the winner by far for me. i have the pro and absolutely love it. the "thickness issue" isn't an issue at all. it doesn't wear anywhere close to the 14.6mm thickness. it feels great, wears great, looks great. 200M with flyer GMT function and at more than half the cost of the explorer 2. and the pop of yellow on the black dial, along with the ceramic lume plots are absolutely killer. I find the ranger wears great but has too much negative space and the green numerals/indices should be white. as for the pelagos 39, looks amazing but i am not a titanium guy.

I went from not understanding why people liked Tudor to buying a Ranger, BB Pro and an FXD... and I love them each in their own way. The Ranger is underrated in my opinion and I think until someone has lived with it for awhile they don't really understand why it's such a great piece. but I have to say out of the 3 the FXD is by far my favourite... if they make the pelages 39 with that same blue I would by that in a heartbeat

Congratulations on this informativ video.I own the Black Bay Ceramic,the BB 58 925 sil ver and the BB pro.I prefer the pro,than the silver and at last the ceramic because its size.But all great tool watches also the Ranger.

Love all 3 especially the BBPro but I picked up a Ranger. Have a 124270 Explorer alongside it is perfect to me. I baby the Rolex as we all know they’re insanely hard to find and the value of it scares me to wear it in the summer months with no hoodie/jacket to protect it. The Ranger is PERFECT as a luxury GADA watch. It’s a total steal for the price and wears perfectly. Nice video brother!

Perhaps you will regret selling the Pro. The best watch I had since years.. Wishing Rolex would have offered their Explorer at 39mm instead of 41+.. Amazing time piece that Tudor.

Great video! I have three Tudors: panda chrono, bb bucherer and 36 mm bb s&g. Thinking about adding bb pro sometime in the future. I think Tudor panda chrono would fit your collection well, even though others opinions should not matter in watch collecting. Thank you for the Tudor videos, love them all!

Thanks for this highly informative video. I'm thinking of adding a Peli 39 to my Tudor collection (BB58 blue and Ranger). I've owned a Breitling Aerospace since the late 90s, so I know exactly what you mean! The flimsey bracelet has put me off Ti watches ever since. I was intending to get a Peli though but ditch the bracelt for an aftermarket strap, but after watchin this vid, I will give the factory bracelet a try.

Since we're talking about tattoos I have to bring this up. Back in 1976 I was in Singapore in the United States Navy. As you know Singapore is one of the homes if not the home of the tattoo. I was young I had all my friends with me they all got tattoos I did not. I was two chicken 😢. But now I am 65 years old and I swear I will have an anchor tattoo even if a small one like yours. (Someday) Now on to the watches ... I think yours are all beautiful. I'm particularly attracted to the ranger as it more suits my taste but there's never ever is enough money in my house I can assure you. I opted for the poor man's $52.00 version of the ranger from pagani design. PD1751 Don't laugh, it looks pretty good for the item offered. Here's an interesting challenge.. buy the cheap one and compare it to your Tudor ranger. Try to compare them from the viewpoint of the common guy, not a watch conneseur. I can't spell worth sh.. but you understand me. Anyway I like the presentation style, and that girl must have made a serious impression on you!😂

Too bad you didn’t get the tattoo back then but if you do it now it will still remind you of that specific memory not getting it back in 1976, so it’s all good 😊 I’ve owned many Pagani Design watches and I’ve featured several of them on my channel. They are fantastic watches and the value is incredible 👍 And one thing, I will never consider myself a watch connoisseur.
