Love my FXD - don’t care what people say about missing a bracelet. The fixed bar is perfect to make nato strap changes a breeze. There’s still a regular Pelagos if you want a bracelet. Or do as I do, my AD got me an allocation for a Rolex Submariner 124060 which has a better bracelet than the Pelagos anyway. I didn’t have any ‘issues’ with the Velcro strap - I think it’s great and perfect combo with the watch.

Absolutely love mine. I was able to get a ‘21 just after Christmas last year. I haven’t had the same issues with the Velcro but I’ve worn mine mostly on an Erika’s original MN strap. To the haters with the long lug to lug and no bracelet complaints, give it a try. It wears awesome on my 7” wrist and let’s be honest, this isn’t our only watch. We have plenty of bracelets 😁🤣

I have the same issue with my M.N. 21 too with the nato strap. I’m going to call my AD to see if this is something they would consider warranty. Likely not, but it’s worth at least a phone call. Otherwise I love the watch and will never sell it.

Glad you like it. So sorry to hear about your velcro strap. Having bought and sold several Black Bay divers, for me this is a keeper. Out of the box, I didn't even bother with the OEM velcro- just put it on a Phoenix Nato. So much to like about this watch- the legibility, the lume, the comfort, the ruggedness, crown guards, square indices, aggressive knurled crown and bezel, and last but not least... the MN connection. The only watch I wear these days... and I'll ever need. Enjoy!

This notion that MN21 is somehow a different "version" to MN22, MN23, etc seems pretty crazy to me. Based on this thinking every single Pelagos LHD would have to be regarded as a different "version" - because, unlike regular Pelagos, the LHDs all have their unique production number engraved on the case-back (an interesting touch, but maybe not such a big deal?) Now sure, I know collectors of vintage watches sometimes make a fetish of the production year. And yes, if it can be shown that fewer of model X were made in a particular year, then that could make the year a little bit more collectible. I get it. But the idea that it would be _a whole different watch,_ or that it would attract a massive premium seems like hot-air salesman talk to me. These Pelagos MNs are all being made in the same factory with the same machine tools by the same technicians and watchmakers to the _exact_ same spec! They are absolutely identical other than one engraved digit (and I guess the serial numbers which are of course always unique.) As far as I can see, whether a watch was made in Dec 21 or in Jan 22 (or later) really makes no practical difference at all.
@ItaiFaierman Жыл бұрын
We’ll said! I agree though, as you mentioned, there may be a more viable collectible factor if there’s less watches made in a particular run (i.e a specific year like this MN21). Thanks for sharing 👍

@@ItaiFaierman It's a sensational watch - I think arguably the best Tudor of modern times. I recently bought one on the grey market (year M.N 23) The guys at my AD claimed they have a big waiting list and have only been getting about two of the Marine Nationale FXDs per year from Tudor. That's actually pretty shocking - if it is true! They are probably getting more than only two or three Rolex Subs per year.

From what I've read and seen, it's not actually a "Velcro" product. Whether Tudor didn't want to pay for the trademark or preferred to use their own product, one of the things I noticed is that the product (ok, the Velcro) had a much fluffier texture than I'm used to on other true Velcro products I've used. I'll have to see how it wears over the next few weeks, as I just got the watch, but seeing your video, my suspicions seem to be confirmed. I'll probably be wearing this on other straps. Bummer, as you say, for how much this premium product costs.

Firstly, congrats on the new watch. I'm a Tudor Pelagos fanboy having owned all versions and unfortunately, this is my least favorite model. Losing the awesome bracelet with the adjustable clasp and losing the date killed the watch for me. Also, my FXD had much poorer bezel action comparatively and both straps felt poorly made. Lastly, the watch is supposed to be better proportioned, however, the fixed springs bars push the lug-to-lug distance out to 55mm and the necessity to wear a pass-through strap eliminates any thickness of the new version shedded.
@ItaiFaierman2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback my friend, I’ve heard this is a polarizing watch. All the best 🙏👊

@@prava163 The bezel action on the FXD is very different than the original Pelagos. Might have something to do with being a bidirectional bezel?
