I sat trying to figure out if it was a cc build, before it even started. I finally decided no, just using assets in swatches I haven't used. Sometimes they just look drastically different. But I know EXACTLY what you mean! It was the windows and doors for me. I don't have the Castle kit yet, so that made me pause. This build is perfection.

Get together is surely my favorite pack. Especially helpful with the castle estate kit when you're doing a decades challenge.

In Finland kids do not belong into bars. If the place is more like a lunch place during the day, then it's fine, but not in the evening when people are more concentrated on alcohol. Most of the pub-like places don't serve food so they are adult-places. We don't have pub culture like you do. Have a nice weekend!

Most (not all don’t get me wrong) pubs basically change from being more of a sit down restaurant to being more of a bar later in the evening, most pubs will have playsets and things out in the daytime for kids

In my experience, in Southern California it is not common for children to be in breweries or other establishments centered around selling alcohol. I think it might actually be illegal to be in bars under 21 (drinking age in USA). Dogs however are very common at breweries.

I grew up in LA and now live in San Diego. When I was a waitress ten years ago, our food handling licenses made it very clear that anyone under 21 could not be in a bar unless it was a restaurant bar (brewery/pub) but even then they had to be away from the bar at all times. Bars/restaurant bars could have their liquor license taken away if they were caught with kids near the bar! The US is also just really weird about drinking in public in general... My American dad was really shocked when he went to visit my mom's parents in Japan for the first time and saw people drinking in the street, buying alcohol from vending machines, sitting in bars with babies on the counter 😅

This is a really nice build! Especially for it being a last minute decision. Taking kids to pubs/ bars isn't exactly common here in the US because they're geared mostly for adults. However, I live in New Orleans, and there's a very small amount of bars open during the daytime that have full service menus and it's totally fine to bring your kid in for lunch. The rule is that the kid can't sit at bar, they can only sit at a table. I take my kiddo to a local bar every once in a while for lunch. They have some of the best burgers and fries in the city.

I’m in the north eastern part of America, we have a lot of restaurant/bars or pubs that kids are at during the day but not after a certain time. Breweries are usually very family friendly places that people bring babies, kids, pets to. That’s been my experience anyway!

In Spain it's very common to bring your kids everywhere. Especially when the weather starts to become warmer. But i think that depends on what the bar/pub/whatever culture is. Here in Spain you would have your beer with tapas or raciones so everything is pretty chill. I think in some places going to a bar/pub is more focused on getting smashed and in Spain is more about hanging out while enjoying a nice drink and nice food.

The dark colours remind me of The Hatchet, a very old pub where I live that plays rock and metal. I think I will add this into my game as a rock pub :)

You nailed it on this build. I feel sorry for those who have never had the privilege of visiting a classic British pub, or German beer hall. They are quite different from American bars, and frankly, there is no way to manufacture centuries worth of tradition and ambiance. Thanks for sharing this stunner!

My partner doesn’t even play sims but he is always impressed with your builds ! He is a big fan of Tudor builds so this was right up his alley ! I been living in Uk now some time and I do love pub culture so much ! Thank you for a beautiful built ! Can’t wait for the next week xx

I feel like the American equivalent of bringing kids to pubs is bringing kids to breweries. We don’t really have pubs like there are in the UK so you don’t really see kids in bars or anything but breweries are very family friendly! This is the culture in the Midwest anyway, specifically Wisconsin 😊

Beautiful build as always! The sad thing about the Sims is the NPC never knows how to use a space realistically. With all the tables this build may work better as a restaurant

I remember a trip in the UK, we ate at a few pubs, and when leaving suddenly the employee at the pub at the airport shooed me away because I sat on the 18+ side of the pub that looked identical to the family side just a tiny sign. But cozy build as always! I love old tavernas, pubs, and bars despite not liking alcohol in the slightest as they just look so cool sometimes! In Telde, Gran Canaria, is there an old bar, with an really old cool cash register, I really wanted to go in and take lots of photos...

What a lovely build! In my game I also use" Get together" fairly often. In France, especially in summer, kids at the bar/pub before dinner is not uncommon. We tend to eat late in the south anyway :) In winter though, I think it would be stared at. Like, it's cold, why'd you bring the kid out?

I instinctively translate pub to bar and am horrified at the thought of bringing kids into such a place. But I guess it's more of a restaurant until they close the food serve and the students and drunks start falling in the door. 😅

In Toronto, pubs = bars, so no kids, but breweries are kid-friendly. Not sure why there's such a difference.

Where I've lived in the US you can take your children to the pub if it's also a restaurant but not if it isn't also a restaurant. I've gone as a child and I've taken my children. 1st gen born this side of the pond so I don't see anything wrong with it

I live in northeast USA, and in fact it is one of my "two truths and a lie" that I got kicked out of a bar. An empty airbase bar on a weekday afternoon, drinking a Shirley Temple at age 10 🤷‍♀️ So no, not allowed, at least in CT/MA, US.
