What an excellent, well written storyline with some good acting from Marius Goring and the others.

Agreed, yet I wonder if such a program would be allowed to be reshown by the BBC these days!

YAY! I remember this show when it was black and white! No low-cleavage, highly made-up, dolly-birds posing as forensic pathologists - often seeing dead bodies with their day clothes on -and no uniform coverings! (Like CSI )

you remember it when you had a black & White set, it was produced in colour from the start in 1968, the first Drama series produced for BBC2 in colour.

Agree! No gore, no vulgarity, just excellent writing and great acting.

I agree with you. We have now entered a world where sensational, "in your face" empty headed, comic strip characters, play out scripts that meet the same requirements. It may be considered "slow and quiet" by today's standards; that's because people have acquired the taste for noise and fast paced action.

Bearing in mind the cultural provenance, lies, corruption, treachery, betrayal, wickedness and murder was not wholly unsuspected. "Nothing to see here, folks".... (Like Leslie Nielson, when the fireworks factory exploded(

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

People, we have all been brainwashed since birth. Please try to see they are transgenders. If you don't know what I'm talking about, enter 'transvestigation', above, filter to most recent upload date (or you will get the shills), avoid 'Nick Arcolla', who is an agent, and take your pick. My late older brother loved this series, Sutherland's Law, and Quincy. He went on to win a major prize in forensic medicine, and much later, I gained honours in it. It is perfectly simple to sex a skeleton, and IMO these are all transgenders. TV and cinema have been transgender since Day 1.
