I am so grateful for this scripture today and all of the homilies by our beloved Marian fathers. So often we hear it, but then we don’t step forward and spread the word of God. “ the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are a few” is a perfect reminder for me to get out there and share what I’ve been taught. sometimes I get so confused by what's going on with our church and the direction and decision's our POPE is making that I get doubts about the Clergy, so much so that I feel a dark presence in my heart but then I take out my Bible and read or listen to one of Fr. Alar's homily's and this bad dark feeling is replaced by a feeling of Peace and tranquility. I pray that I never go back to the terrible paralyzing depressive state I was in before I found the Marion's and Fr. Alar - this severe depression wasted over 15 yr's of my life and I pray that I never go back there. I was totally lost bf I found the Marion's and I want to express my gratitude to all the Marian family and Clergy for helping me through this very dark period of my life and for helping me to reach out and find God AGAIN.

Thank you so much, Father Mark, for your amazing and heartfelt Homily on we as the laity of the Catholic Church, are chosen and called to do the work of saving souls for Christ, doing everything that we can do to be a good example to them, to being sensitive to their needs who do not have the instruction and knowledge of where to start by simply opening their hearts to the Merciful and Pure Heart of Christ, Jesus, through the Graces of the Holy Spirit of Truth, when we invite Him into our hearts through reciting the Prayer to the Holy Spirit every morning and night, and attending Mass and confessing our sins, asking Jesus for forgiveness and receiving the Holy Eucharist, the Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who gave up His entire Body and Blood for us to be reconciled to the Father for our sins, so that we can enter into the Eternity of Heaven with Him.

“ The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.” Fr. Mark, thank you for mentioning that the laity is also called to help in the vineyard of the Lord, and not only priests and religious. As a member of the Catholic Church and mystical body of Jesus, it’s a great joy to be counted among the labourers, to participate in the work of salvation in whatever way and wherever the spirit of God directs us. In our world today, many people need to be guided in the right direction: some seek out ways to become better and change for good, but others just don’t know where to go for help and to talk to someone who is ready to listen with an understanding heart and a humble mind. It’s also very important that this someone must be a person of faith and prayer, of moral excellence and goodness, knowledge of our Catholic faith and the Church teachings. We can only give and share what we have. With God’s blessing and His grace, we must be zealous and committed to our calling as a laity. God bless us all.

I did not know it until recently either and I love the way that Fr Mark described it. It was a miracle, really an unintended consequence, well, perhaps intended by our heavenly father, of the loving act of Mary for her cousin Elizabeth, who was expecting a baby in her later years. Elizabeth needed assistance and Mary went to her, pregnant with the God man. I always set the first miracle was the wedding at Cana.
