Extremely helpful video - again! Coming from the Helix I still think that snapshots on the Helix are easier and more comprehensive but at least I get how to use scene managers. Thank, Leon! 🙏🏻

Couple years old but outstanding tutorial on the scene controllers. Also….nice homage to Trower and day of the eagle with the ending jam. 🤘🏻

Great tips Leon. This has been the missing link for me to make scene switching faster. Question: I'm running 5.01 on my FM3 and was wondering if there is any difference between Input Drive and Drive in the amp block. 5.01 only has Drive

I was under the impression that for instance: scene 1 selected: adjust parameters or say 6 different things (amp/delay/verb, etc), hit save. Scene 2 selected: adjust another 6 things, hit save, etc??? Am I wrong? I was also under the impression that one scene could feature amp or reverb channel A and scene 2 could feature amp channel B and reverb channel B thus creating seamless switching? Am I wrong? Thanks.

Suppose i want a 1/8 delay in a scene and a dotted one in another scene. Can i do that with controllers/scene controllers? Thanks
@Weily_Alcequiez3 жыл бұрын
what about different delay times? about controlling delay times with scene controllers or other?
@G66eu3 жыл бұрын
That will definitely work!

Leon, great video. Question. Can scene controllers be used with negative values? Ie, for amp levels?
@G66eu Жыл бұрын
Yes, anything that accepts modifiers

Leon this works when I'm using the switch's on the FM3 to change scene's but I'm sending program changes from Logic Pro to change scene's and there is still a gap between switching scene's !!! any advice ??

Hi, Leon. I've been trying to use the "Scene Controllers" but every time I right click I just get a grey screen. Am I missing a step, and if so what is it? Thanks.

So considering all of the blocks in a preset and all of the options per block and their sub menus I can only control 4 “ parameters” per preset? Due to only having 4 scene controllers?
@G66eu3 жыл бұрын
There's 4 scene controllers which allow this sort of control, but you've also got 6 control switches which can be set per scene, real time controllers (ecpression, LFO, ADSR, envelope, pitch) and up to 16 external controllers!

When assigning a scene controller to knob is it still possible to adjust the value on the knob itself instead of the controller knob? It always flips back to where the controller value was set.
@G66eu4 жыл бұрын
The controller overrides the knob in this case

LT I love your videos and I am becoming really great with my new FM3. My question for you is...Do you use the Fractal live? If so, do you run with full cab simulation through FOH or do you run through amps on stage without cab sim? Or, both??? Again, I am really impressed with your videos. Thanks!

What if you just set all the blocks the same across all the scenes, and then start tweaking them scene-by-scene, and save them to their respective scenes? There wouldn't be any gaps when switching between scenes would there?
@TimurIskhodzhanov Жыл бұрын
You'd change the settings in all scenes at once. You need to tell the unit that you want different values in different scenes, and "Scene controllers" is one of the ways to do so.
@billzaferatos22563 жыл бұрын
will a scene controller only control one parameter of the amp block
@G66eu3 жыл бұрын
You can link any one scene controller (or any modifier) to as many parameters as you like.

This seems so backwards compared to the helix where you just make your adjustment and save for that scene...why all this controller nonsense??
@momogris61592 жыл бұрын
It’s nice but miles behind Helix, where you can modify ANY number of parameters in every scene and so easily that it’s embarrassing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m buying a Fm9, but this aspect of the software is the worst. In Helix you just save the position or value of any parameter without jumping to another screen where you just have to guess which percentage is the value you want for your modification. Come on! It’s so cumbersome coming from the leaders in modelling technology. I hope they copy the competency for once.

Since we only have 4 scene controllers, does that mean out of our entire effects chain we can only change 4 parameters per scene?
@joaguilar72 жыл бұрын
You also have Control Switches where you can attach almost any effect parameter to 1 single control switch !!
@davidreynolds6718 Жыл бұрын
Switching gaps are utterly unacceptable. It turns this unit into worthless for virtually every gigging guitarist. Unbelievable. So the FM9 ships as a piece of junk and I have to research a work-around to make it useful?!? That's absurd.
