Yeah, as fans we all want to see any belt defended, but if the UFC says that you will get a titleshot if you wait, you can definitely understand why fighters wait for the real title. In the beginning of a fightercareer you fight for the fun of it, but when you get to the higher rankings, you fight for the fun of it AND to be the best in world... You dont want to miss your chance.

If I were Condit I think I would do the same thing. It isn't just about fighting, a fight vs anyone other than Diaz and especially GSP won't bring in the amount of cash vs anyone else. GSP means you get PAID. It isn't just a sporting decision I don' think.

I think Carlos the 'NaturalBornRunner' should actually have to defend his title. There's no way he could beat Kampmann or Hendricks. The Welterweight division is stacked, we need some title shots.

getting paid! (allegedly) $75,000 base sallary per fighter, 75,000 for a win, 75,000 if that win is a submission or knockout of the night and another 75,000 if its fight of the night, and this can happen several times a year, their all getting paid. Plus awesome fights don't have to be title shots, Shogun and Hendo's fight is way better than any GSP fight I've seen.
