Ice T is still a badass at 63. He just won a Grammy for best metal performance with his band Bodycount for the song Bum Rush. A song about taking over the news networks for spreading devide.

No doubt, but he was totally underground until he signed with "Sire Records" in 1987 which was the same year NWA debuted, so yes you are correct, Ice -T was def grinding several years before NWA.
