How do you lower the legs of that first trailer you parked when you are an inch off the wall? And when reversing the trailer it looks at some point you lose sight of the back and side of it, i would be well nervous about hitting something
@photographycyclist
@photographycyclist Ай бұрын
@@philm4682 good question, at the back and along side there is a stower looking and if something is not ok he blows a whisel. When thé trailer is in position they place a ferry under and lower thé unit on that where thé rigger-stower secure te unit with chains all along thé weather forecast. Bad weather is more chains sometimes up to 10 pieces.

21 years as a stevedore in Helsinki, of which 16 years driving tugmasters (all Sisu/ Kalmar in my workplace), straddle carriers and reach stackers. The smaller the vessel, the narrower the lanes, and the tighter the spot to place the trailer, the more I like it. Gotta love it no safety helmets on this video - I honestly hate them so much.

Why crank the landing gear if it's a terminal tractor??????
@photographycyclist
@photographycyclist 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Rumeel, on thé terminal whe normale don't crank thé landing gear. When whe drive onboard they have you be up because otherwise if you drive to topdeck of lowerhold off ship you damage one of theother...... and you have a damageclaim 🥴
@Rumeel12708
@Rumeel12708 2 жыл бұрын
@@photographycyclist but doesn't the terminal trackor raise the landing gear? You lift a trailer way higher than what the landing gear can extend.
@photographycyclist
@photographycyclist 2 жыл бұрын
@@Rumeel12708 yes thé Connections-Plate you raise hydrolic, but let's say you drive to top deck and thé slope hase a aingle of 15% thé backboard with thé rearlights is f... When are also in Tidal port and sometimes whe have to lower thé trailer on thé back of thé tug and even deflait thé rearsuspension of thé tugmaster.
