The bump sound was the nose gear running over the runway centreline lights. The mains can be over the runway, but doesn't mean the aircraft is perfectly aligned, crosswind etc. To the Pilot In Command, you know you nailed it, long may you continue.

She was the First Officer (copilot if you prefer) but she was the pf (pilot flying). The yoke was moving in her hands because the autopilot was ON. When you heard "autopilot", she was flying the aircraft manually.

+Hauke Verrept not quite true, under EASA it's +/-7 at initial and then after that you can go as blind as you like, so long as it can be corrected with glasses, with no more than +/-2 between eyes. Beyond +/-7 at initial it is under the discretion of the AME. Source: my mate has - 7.25 and has a class 1 medical

Decided to look it up in the Part FCL Medical, seems we were both wrong :p Initial medical it's +5 to -6, however, if you are out of limits, you should be referred to the licensing authority which then decides on a case by case basis :p However, it's not quite that simple either, since then, if you were to go out of those limits as at a later point in time, there is a whole series of tests and options (such as flight test with AME) to keep your Class 1. EASA, it's never what you think it is...

It's a control column not a joystick.......at low airspeed (landing) the controls are quite ineffective as there is not very much airflow over the ailerons and rudder so you need to make larger control inputs than you would at a higher speed.
