This is by far the furthest I've been from completing a puzzle the way the devs intended for me to do it. I cheesed the second room by dragging the block up the ramp and reversing it, and cheesed the last room by building a bridge with all of the spare wood around

Sounds similar to how I solved the shrine myself. I thought of creating a ramp in the second room for the wheel to traverse on as it moves the block upwards, but I had a lot of trouble properly attaching in the wheel. As for the third room, I knew I had to use paddles, but I was thinking of placing them on the outside of the wheels rather then across them. I would have been more willing to try the paddle solution if the wood was shorter.

I absolutely cheesed every room in this shrine and came here cause i needed to know what the hell they expected me to actually do I have completed 20+ shrines and just now discovered you can hit the wheels and they will turn on. I thought they needed a power source or something. I have been walking past wheels this whole time. This game is great.

I'm probably FAR too late but... In Shrines you have unlimited battery. Out in the 'normal' world, those devices will be powered based on how much battery you've accumulated.

It is INSANE hearing how differently everyone did this! I built a box with the ball attached, then used ultra hand to place it on top of the 2 ledge things. Climbed up the ladder to ultra hand it from the middle to the other side- I was too far away from the box to ultra hand. Went back several times and added more wood till it finally worked, and ultra handed it across the second half

What if I told you that the way it was done in this video STILL isn't the 'intended' manner? As you point out, it seems 'wrong' that you need to detach a piece from a previous build. Surely there is something you can do with just the wheel and the plank, right? And isn't it also wrong that the 'ladder' goes completely unutilized? Check out this shrine walkthrough by youtuber ConCon. You're supposed to attach the wheel to the side of the block. Then attach the plank to the other side of the wheel. The wheel will spin the plank, and the plank will pull itself up the 'ladder' one rung at a time. No need for a second wheel.

The second puzzle was solved in a very clever way. Based on the tines in the floor I think the way it was supposed to be solved was to attach a wheel to the platform and then attach the plank to the wheel like it was a mill. The plank then hits the tines like rungs so that not backsliding happens. But the method in this tutorial is much more sleek and smooth

I actually thought of using the wheels to roll against the walls like the method used in the second puzzle in this video, but couldn’t get it to work :/ idk what the walls are there for, they just confused me

Honestly this will probably be the shrine that loads of people didn’t do it the “proper” way. For the second task I took the plank from the first bit and fused the ball with that so the plank with the ball stayed at the top when it got flat and last task I just made a bridge with all the wood available 😂

Thank you for showing a proper way of doing this. Here's what I did 😅 STEP 1: Went to the big ball, detached the slate from the wheels, attached the ball to the edge of the slate, "Ultrahand" lifted it as high as I could near the ladder and laid it back down where I could see it. STEP 2: Went back up the ladder, used "Recall", waited for ball to get high and close enough, then used "Ultrahand" to grab it and take it to it's destination 😂 I felt so terrible when I first did that, because I could not figure out this shrine lmao. Thanks for the video! ❤

Yes that bit at the end there was very creative, the part about creating "paddles", it worked like a charm though, I actually thought since the ball was attached to the raft it was too heavy to move by just two wheels, so what I did was I made like a raft with 4 wheels, still didn't move though lol ....thought I'd give it more "juice" lol, this is about the 3 or 4th shrine where I had to look up what to do towards the end here. I did have an idea of what to do so I partially solved this one.

I did it completely differently. In the last room I put the ball on the board then the other board with wheels on top. Lift it into the narrow channel. The wheels run along the top.

I always took parts from earlier puzzles in the shrine to later parts just in case. The ONE time I don't is when 2 wheels are "needed" from the previous puzzle lmao I solved it using recall and holding it so I could grab it with ultrahand at the top but was struggling to figure out what the one wheel could be used for since attaching it to the rail to move it towards like the shrine that introduced ultrahand seemed impossible

I went all the way to the water room, grabbed the 4 long wooden boards, carried them back to where you first get the car and ball, made a “table” with the 4 boards and metal piece from the car and set it next to the ladder, set the ball on top of the table, and used recall to carry it up and over the big wall.

Bro I attached the ball to the little car thing in the lava room, lifted it up towards the main corridor, kept it there for a while, then went up the ladder, used Recall on the car, waited for it to come up, and used Ultrahand to bring the ball up to the corridor and just put it in the spot. I did this the hard way. Step 2, I attached the metal piece to the back of the block, ball on top, and pushed it up a way. After several attempts, I managed to remove the metal piece from the block, move it just enough to hold the block at one of the stoppers, and then pull the ball off from the top platform. I knew there was a better way, but damned if I could figure it out on my own.

After going dow the first ladder. I lifted the car as high as posible. The jumped on and used recall to relift the car and at the same time used ultrahand to lift the ball up 2x as high. Went back up the ladder used recal on the ball grabbed it and finished the shrine without doing everything else.

I just started playing and don't know how to use the tools. For the first big sphere I kept it on the cart and attached the whole thing to the stone slab that move up. At the top i wiggled the cart lose and it got stuck at the top. I climbed up and picked it up. No way I was going to think of attaching a wheel and put it on the wall.

Oh, wow. This is crazy. I solved this like this.. First, I merged the two wooden rafts together so they would be long enough for me to reach up when I used the UltraHand at the top after climbing the ladder. Then, I dragged the wooden raft to the other side so it would float back to the original side. After that, I attached the ball to the raft and used the recall. While the recall was activating, I climbed back up the ladder and glided to the other side again. I used the UltraHand again to pick it up before the recall ran out. It was a crazy solution, but it worked.., barely

How i beat the last part was placing a tiny piece of wood next to the raft, reattaching the wheel. Put both wheels over the two close dams, then using Ultrahand to move it far with the ball on top. Using the ladder, dropping down onto the raft. Grabbing the ball and moving it very close to the end. Climb up ladder, down other ladder and use recall on ball. Ta-dah!

For the second part you’re supposed to attach a plank to the center of the wheel (after you attach the wheel to the side) and it catches the “steps” as it spins and climbs up. I think that was what was intended

When I saw the car, I completely took it apart, made the platform vertical, while using all the wheels to support it at the bottom, moved it near the ladders, then I connected the ball to the top of the platform and climbed up the ladder, ultrahand to remove the ball and then placed it in its slot.

I just took the long board from the the room across the lava at the beginning and brought it back to where the cart originally was. Took the wood from the cart and attached the long board to the end of it. Took the wheels off and propped it against the wall by the ladder and attached the ball to the top. Climbed the ladder and grabbed the ball and put it in the hole. I watched this video and was like, why are they carrying the ball all around the shrine? I thought there was another hole you could out it in 😂

this method no longer works. and is also not how it was intended to work. when you walk up the steps there is only one zonai wheel and a 4x8 slab. attach the wheel to the side of the rail block and then attach the middle of the long side of the slab to the wheel. done correctly it will act as a gear that hooks onto each of the fence things coming out of the floor the higher it goes.
