Long live Tulsa and its innovative musical heritage. From Bob Wills to Jumping Jack Dunham, Leon Russell and the Gap Band. Amazing place!

Wonderful to hear stories of one of my early heroes, Leon Russell ! And J.J. Cale. Two giants in American popular music.

RIP Jimmy Markham.....I met him in Nashville in the early 90s when he played around town and rented a house on Kenilwood Drive that I had previously lived in.....a great guy, musician and scholar with lots of stories.

Jimmy's band and the Jump Shots were at Dukes Country one nice Sunday afternoon. We liked them so much (maybe just a sound check) we all decided "Hey! Country slam dancing!) just a big bunch of staying out of trouble fun!
