Such a pure and underrated movie...masterpiece by A Sinha....for someone who grew up non-mobile phone era, non-internet era till reaching the 10+2, we were still quite innocent and we appreciated such honest story....just a generation sandwiched between some tradition and uber exposed spoilt generation z, we are at-least lucky to have lived at-least for a while in an era, i.e. during our formative years, when simple things used to make us happy...we perhaps are just a little more appreciative of simple things more...

2001.. we were teenagers in college and were swept away by huge films like Gadar, Lagaan and Dil Chhata hai. Missed this film in theatres. Cut to 2003, engineering days in Pune (I am from Mumbai btw)....lazy afternoon, so rented a VCD on recommendation and it was this film!!! Watched it several times post that lazy noon and even now, after 20 years I am still madly deeply crazily in love with this film.

I really loved this movie. I have watched it so many times.Thanks to the writer and Director for making such a beautiful movie. Priyanshu is really a damn handsome actor. His outfits were class too. Everyone acted as real and beautifully I remembered when i watched first this movie in 2002 during college time. I think this is the only movie in which no fight schene seen but but all character,story,voice and music song is so good cant express myself. Tum Bin 2001 me release huyi thi. 22 saal ho gaye film ko aur meri age November 2023 me 33 years ho jaegi. Maine kabhi ye movie nahi dekhi thi sirf iske gaane sune the aur logo se suna tha film ke baare me. Agar kabhi ye TV par aayi hogi to shayad maine kuchh minutes hi dekhi hogi actually mujhe kuchh yaad nahi hai. Finally aaj 30 January 2023 ko ye film dekhi. Masterpiece hai film.

From direction, acting, choreography, music to everything. I'm a HUGE FAN of Priyanshu Chatterjee, especially. I don't know why he couldn't make his footsteps into the Bollywood industry, except only a few. He & Sandali make a Great couple. Priyanshu, why did you leave the Bollywood industry and go for Tollywood? I expected you to move further coz you have nothing less than what is required for a Bollywood Hero. Watching this classic movie in 2023 again, mainly for Jagjit Singh ji’s songs and beautiful locations of Calgary and Canmore, Canada. I first watched this movie 20 years ago in my early twenties in India. I was so impressed by the location and had desired to at least visit it once and drive on those scenic roads once. By grace of Christ I migrated to Canada with my husband and now Calgary is my home town for last 13 years and love driving on these beautiful roads😊 thank you God for giving me more than what I asked or imagine!

such an absolute masterpiece and the wonderful thing is they didn't make illogical blunders in the name of "hai toh fiction hi na" which is rare in movies the story had been super smooth and super logically acceptable we need to have things like this and not any illogical sh*t in the name of entertainment which is so common in movies these days!!!

I don't remember how many times I've watched this movie. Everytime I watch this, it seems as if I'm watching this for the 1st time. Love is an emotion. And the way it is portrayed by the Dir. Anubhav Sinha through his characters is beautiful. The writing is simple yet has dealt with nuances of love at emotional level. I love this movie so much. I'm gonna watch this again after some time.

Whenever I think what I did in my life, watching this movie is up there. Probably a movie beyond time and space. I remember when I was in University 20 years ago. Feeling goosebumps just realizing that, and I am now writing something that I used to read written by others. My friends and I were in hostel in Fiji and went to watch this on a Monday. I loved the movie so much that I told my remaining friends about it and went and watched it again the next day. I just feel in love with it and told my brother and sis in law the next day and then again went and watched it on Wednesday - same time same show 8.20pm.

I was 8 when I heard ‘koi fariyaad’ song. I loved it and it became my favorite, and it was a coincidence when I found out that it’s also both of my parent’s favorite song. I was curious about the movie. I had always loved old movies. And now that I’m 13 I finally watched it. It has became my most favorite movie. I really felt the emotion through me. Old movies are just masterpieces. There are no words to express just how amazing this movie was. This was an incredible experience.

Watched this recently & I don't think a masterpiece like this can be made again. The level of complex emotion, tragic love, beauty, and happiness in love that it projects and teaches you; while being generous to the fallacies of human nature. The director really showed that Shehkar was Pia's true love -- in such a realistic and powerfully gorgeous way. Longing, chahat, friendship, bond, love and ... words don't even express. Magical and never again. If anything, an extended ending would've been the cherry on top. 5/5, 1000000000/5. Literally everyone should watch this.
