All the songs picturized on Raj Kapoor were sung by Mukesh, whom Kapoor used as his singing voice, Except in one Song (Tum Hi Tum ho). It happened one day that Mukesh was unavailable for a song recording, So Mohammed Rafi was called for a dubbing version of the song. Kapoor was so impressed that he used this dubbed song of Mohammed Rafi in the Film. After hearing the song, Mukesh too quoted that the way Mohammed Rafi has sung, he couldn't have rendered in that beautiful and melodious way...
The original female lead was Madhubala. Shooting had started with her in 1959, but her heart ailment curtailed her career and she left the film incomplete. Her portions were entirely reshot with Waheeda Rehman replacing her.
Storyline:-
Shekhar's maternal grandmother wants a heir to carry on the family's name. When Shekhar introduces Sunita, his grandmother disapproves after knowing that Sunita cannot bear any children....
Shekhar's (Raj Kapoor) maternal grandmother Nani (Lalita Pawar) is a very loving person, and loves Shekhar dearly as a mother. She is also very religious and firm in her beliefs. She believes that every man must have a male heir to carry on the family's name. Therefore, she will only permit Shekhar to marry a woman who will bear him a son. Shekhar presents his Nani with Sunita (Waheeda Rehman), the girl he plans to marry. Nani finds out that Sunita cannot bear any children and disapproves of her. Shekar and Sunita marry anyway, and to pacify Nani, pretend that a friend's son is their's. But for how long will the shrewd Nani allow the wool to be pulled over her eyes? Written by rAjOo

It was a lip singing done by Rafi for Mukesh who was abroad and supposed to sing this song on return to India. When Mukesh listened this song, he refused to sing again saying that this was the best version. You can note down the overlapping of male-female voice which was not cared as they it will be sung again.

Kishore started singing in 1947 but becameva hit in 1970 with aradhana . Again originally rafi was supposed to sing all songs as he haf fone for rajesh khanna in 1960 for all his films but as singingb2 songs sf fell ill and rd burman on sly brought his friend kishore refer to raju bharatan article. In kati patang 1971 all songs went to kishore and thus this was the 1st film which was all hit for kishore. Rd gave kishore 750 songs amit kumar 160 songs to rafi 110. The break to rd was given by mahmood in 1961 but only in 1966 tessri manzil wuth rafi this was major hit.
