Dr Ruth Pfau was gem of a person indeed. Her favours & sacrifices led to elimination of Leprosy & other diseases in Pakistan. I am at loss of words to pay tribute to this great benefactor of Pakistani people. A care-giver & philanthropist par excellence!! Rest in peace. And, Muneeza Hashmi, thanks a lot for sharing this interview.

Such an inspiring interview! These are the noble souls who make this world a beautiful place to live. سب کہاں کچھ لالہ و گل میں نمایاں ہو گئیں خاک میں کیا صورتیں ہوں گی جو پنہاں ہو گئیں

My salute to this great lady. The respect and honor she deserves really Can't be described in words. As a medical college student, I had the privilege to attend one of her lectures on Leprosy. Later on,on becoming a dermatologist and serving inbAzad Kashmir,I had to come across and treat lot many Leprosy patients. There used to be a Leprosy centre at Muzaffarabad and lot many people from a nearby town Patika used to visit it to get treatment of this disease. Rawalpindi has a Leprosy centre on Zafar ul Haq road still serving the ailing humanity having this disease. I wonder people saying that heaven is only made for Muslims. I quote them the example of Dr Ruth Pfao, and they become answerless.

What this woman has done for our country in her life has not been done by even a few hundreds of local Pakistanis. Shame on us for this. She deserves the love of the entire universe. She was indeed an angel and when she said that she had absolutely no regrets, I smiled in tears. This is what your life should be at the very end, no single regret. 💜
