I love washing dishes and love saving money. . One time my dishwasher defected and needed to be replace one new. I had done a comparison with hand washing and machine washing; the fares are totally 10 times different. After I would like to only use dishwasher.
There is really no need to pre-rinse by hand (all dishwashers advice so) because the programme and strong detergent would give an excellent result in cleanliness. But instead, use a spatula or washing-up brush to scrap of off residue from dishes, so it would not clot the system. Unless there is some stubborn residue on pots and pans, I'd give it a quick scrub with the brush. No need to wet your hands and that's the whole idea of using a dishwasher!
