We had one on my dad's farm when I was a teenager. It was old when we got it. We polled it behind a farmall 560 diesel with a turbo and later with our jd 4010. Let me tell ya...we could move some serious dirt fast. There was no stopping. We put that 4010 in 5th gear and drug sand bills back across a 40 acre field to wet spots. Much much faster than a loader tractor. Just a simple machine that got a lot of work done and was fun to use

I remember a neighbor had one of those when I was about 4 years old. Always thought it was cool, but never knew what they were called. Pretty cool.

Thanks. I bought land that has old stuff on it, seen this out there knew it was some kind of scraper but didn't know how to use it, now I do. Great vid showing how it works, thanks again for making it.

Necessity is the mother of all invention. Some poor farmer couldn’t afford a loader but he had a drum and a welder. And bob’s your uncle it’s a tumblebug

Your property must have been a lake bottom, back in ancient times.

A Delta that ran into a large glacial lake that extended far up into Canada. I went into it in a video series I did way back called The History of My World. Ten parts, but the geography and how the land formed is covered in the first couple parts.

Where did you get the reflector for your Winchester 1907? Ibwould like one because i want to reload my brass and not search other counties for it lol
@logcabinlooms6 жыл бұрын
I made my own, I always figured someone should make up something to fit because they are notoriously wild with ejection. My is out of leather, but it could rather easily be made out of Kydex if somebody decided to make up a run of them.

Since you left your town motor grading job, I'm guessing you can't bring the grader home anymore?
@logcabinlooms6 жыл бұрын
I do have my own that goes on the 3 point on the tractor that works fine for my needs, but for moving dirt any distance a scraper is needed, and this little Tumblebug is the ticket.

logcabinlooms I live down in Missouri along the Arkansas line in the ozarks we find them here and there I’ve found 20 or so and my brother has found probably 100 or more over the years they are stone here but out West I figure they where using metal mostly what do you think?

You want to grade your driveway forget that thing buy a land plane.
@justchillinout20025 жыл бұрын
Care to explain WHY?
@jasonzee45615 жыл бұрын
@@justchillinout2002 because you have a blade that cut out pot holes a give the driveway a smooth look. And it use the gravel that was packed down.
@justchillinout20025 жыл бұрын
@@jasonzee4561 Thanks for the reply Jason. Not arguing, but just trying to understand better, and I am looking at buying something for grading work. But it looks like the Tumblebug is cutting and redistributing the dirt where you want it. Doesn't the land plane just randomly redistribute dirt as it goes, not putting it necessarily where you may need it? Thanks again.
