This answers a question ive had, another great video, The round wooden bowl is just as sweet. Looking forward to your next video

Glad you like the new bowl, Awik gave me this one for rock play. Next video is going to go backwards: I'm going to make plain ol' rocks out of polished spheres. Then I'll put the rocks back into the wild. I'll use my WAS (backwards saw) which puts stone back onto the rock until it's like it WAS.

No Talk! ❤ ❤ ❤ Tumbler looks like a nicer finish.

It was also much easier to use the tumbler than the spherer--there are no adjustments necessary. The downside: 1 week vs. 4 hours. There's 61 GraniteGuy videos, 58 of them have no words, one has 1 word (How Not To Set A Granite Post), one has 4 words (What Was That About?), and one has an excerpt of an auction (Maker's Challenge #5).

Pretty material!

The stuff is Brazilian. Called "quartz," its opacity would suggest just silica, not quartz. The high-contrast markings and bright blue colors are pretty. Now that my yard is frozen, I'm resorting to buying my rough material. Will come by your store in January to pick out something to sphere.

I wish i knew where i could sell all my rough gemstones and rocks ive collected. I've got insane amounts of just about everything, all of it i handpicked myself and carried home so they're all very attractive specimens too. Got a gigantic jasper-agate with quartz running through it the size of my head, got a fossilized archaeopteryx the size of a basketball with visible feathers still showing, got Chalcedony chunks the size of my fist, beautiful red jaspers. Fossils in red Jasper, i got bugs trapped in agates and amber. 🫠🫠🫠

Don't know much about the marketing side of rocks; I have the luxury of doing rock work just for fun. But I'm always looking for a fist-sized piece (=2" x >2" x >2") of polishable rock with lots of high-contrast stripes. If you send me one of those, I'll send you, in exchange, one of my handmade New Hampshire spheres.

@GraniteGuy hey man, I'll send you as much as you want for nothing, I got a lot to get rid of, and a lot of these came from some very hard to get places too.

Hit me at bernardtvelkinsenne (gmail) and I'll send you an address. Not too fussy about material, but size is critical. And I'll get your address to send you a NH sphere.

@GraniteGuy sure thing, I wrote your info down, I'll see about mailing and shipping first (just to make sure I can) then I'll send you an email.
