Tumbling Tower Block Tray || Dollar Tree DIY || Just 1 EASY Craft

Tumbling blocks from Dollar Tree are one of my favorite things to use! You can do so many different projects with them! I hope this one inspires you!
Materials~
Dollar Tree~
2 boxes of tumbling tower blocks
Other~
Wood glue
Mineral chalk paint - Waverly
Black chalk paint - Folkart
Matte Varnish - Waverly

Pretty nice looking. Bad thing about tower blocks is the little gaps, but wallet friendly.

I've taken the lightweight spackle from DT and filled in the gaps because they bother me too but some people like that look. It's still wallet friendly!

You could fill the gaps by using Dap caulking or a wood filler prior to painting too

I never used to be able to find them but occasionally I’ll find a crate of them on the lowest shelf in the toy area and I usually buy 5-6 boxes when I do find them. Then I just put them into gallon sized ziploc bags to make it easier to just grab some depending on what I’m making.

I love these diy's! However, every time I attempt to do one of them, I have a hard time getting the blocks to stick together. Any idea why? I have tried dt wood glue super glue, weld bond, and both of these options with a dot of hot glue. Some stick perfectly. However, some just immediately fall apart.

Ms Beth. How do you get your tumbling blocks to glue evenly laying down. Mine always come out one higher than the other. Kinda like , let’s say you glue one next to each other and it’s like it’s sitting over a tiny rock. Making it look uneven. I hope that makes sense 😁
