And what made it worse was how from then on Sefako started shamelessly displaying his abusive behaviour by blaming Tumelo for it, making him feel like he's working on eggshells all the time and even "praising" Tumelo for completely changing himself for him. At that moment I was really like "no this relationship has to end, there's no other way"

I need a genuine redemption for Sefako and real work. Real self understanding/acceptance and self love. I want to see him move with pride in the boy/man he is and to become. I do want them back together ultimately but only after the work and growth. Tumelo also needs to put in the same work. So when they come together they are stronger and more resilient. None of this constant DV and shame spiral they want us on.

Please don't generalize like this, it's toxic. I'm Bi and I'd never and have never treated someone like this in my life. Sefako's toxic behavior does not stem from him being bisexual, it's because he suffers from internalized homophobia. There are even fully gay men like this who treat other gay men the same way, and it's simply because they hate themselves and struggle to accept their sexuality and they still worry about what society will say, so they mistreat the person who loves them.
