One of the sweetest songs sung by Runa Laila. I just love how the song expresses the denial of love while falling in love is evident. The confusion, the self-awareness, the denial yet giving no reason for that.. finding out signs of falling in love yet denying.. simply beautiful! It reminds me of the first few years after meeting my now husband. For a long time, I kept denying I fell in love with him. Though we never dated, we eventually got married. It has been about 7 years now. My honest gratitude to the writer, composer and the singer! I don’t why Runa Laila stopped singing Urdu and Hindi songs, if she didn’t, we might have many beautiful pieces like this. ❤ from Bangladesh

The same reason why Anwar, Suman Kalyanpur, vani jayram could not sing more in Hindi. The then composer would think, when there are original Mohd rafi, Lata Mangeshkar are present what is the point in making these artist sing. There was already Asha Bhosale at that time so bad luck for Runa Laila. Since Runa Laila is talented, nobody could stop her becoming famous.

Runa Laila was a Pakistani and stayed in Karachi till 1974 before moving to Dhaka. She is prominent singer in Bangladesh.

According to one (conspiracy) theory Lata Mangeshkar was shocked at the remuneration being offered to Runa Laila and she ensured that her composers didn't give chance to Runa after that. Otherwise for a couple of years in late seventies Runa Laila was popular in hindi cinema. She reportedly moved to Bangladeshi cinema after this
