4:03 Your account on the railway lines in Karanataka, is very much welcome. Since, AP & Karnataka are neighbouring states with a long border (of twists & turns like Pavagada in Karanataka & Madakasira in AP), joint effort is the need & is welcome. Three lines in your list, need particular attention because they are inter-state.. Ginigere (Koppal) - Raichur via Sindhanur lies there with no progress. Only near Ginigere Jn., there is an embankment & rails laid till the outskirts of Sindhanur. Near Sindhanur (Koratage) the track is laid in bits & pieces. Beyond Sindhanur, towards Raichur there is no work in progress. It is pathetic. May be the state government is needed to acquire land for this purpose & hand it over to Railway ministry. In Kalyanadurgam - Tumakur line, track is laid from Kalyanadurgam till Kambadur (all in AP) & Doddahalli near Pavagada in Karnataka . A passenger train runs from Kadiridevalapalli (before Kambadur) to Tirupati, via Guntakal. Embankment is built till Karnataka border after Madakasira (AP). Railways can start the work, but would they do it in bits & pieces? Work is in progress near Tumakur, till Oorukere from where (Kuchangi) the line branches off, one to Davanagere & another to Madakasira border. Only Annenahalli railway station near Oorukere is getting built (April this year). So much of the work like land acquisition is still not done as can be seen with no embankment all along beyond Kuchangi. The small connectivity from Marikuppam (KGF, Karnataka) to Kuppam (AP's CM, Chandra Babu Naidu's constituency) isn't still done. On Virupaxipura side (Bisanattam in Karnataka) embankment is laid till AP border ! From this point to the mainline (Bengaluru- Jolarpettai-Chennai) it is 4.1km, between Gudipadu & Bisanattam (Karnataka). It can easily done. But it seems the line is being laid direct to Kuppam a distance of 14.5 km, that runs almost parallel (about 3 - 4 km apart) to the existing old line, as I understand. This is wasteful, consumes time & expenditure, when a straight joining line (4.1km) is the better alternative. In fact AP needs to acquire more land ! Yet this (longer line) seems to be firm, taking longer time & expenditure. Railway lines (laying new lines) is costly, time-consuming & even frustrating as an experience to the future users, due to lack of co-ordination between Central government (Railway ministry) and the concerned state governments, who are indifferent most times, cribbing over land acquisition. Co-ordination is very necessary. Railway minister's attitude is most unhelpful in this state of affairs. He was a civil servant (retired) of Odisha cadre with total loyalty to that state & Biju Patnaik, known to groom ex-IAS officers for his political ambitions. After the Baleswar (Balasore) triple-train accident, the worst in the history of Indian Railways, another grievous accident took place in Bihar, both in a year. Any other Railway minister would've been forced to resign; but not this one. Projects in Railways of South suffer due to this.

Instead of this new route, a shortest and straight separate new route that directly connects Tumkur and bellary will save cost drastically as this new route is round about trip just to appease people . If direct route is established, then bangalore will be directly connected with bellary as moving from hyperloop train point A = Bangalore and point B = Bellary.

There is a circular railway project is been going to get constructed around Bengaluru like a peripheral ring road in future mo unnecessary trains passing through Bengaluru need to go Bengaluru. for example train coming from Mysore going to Hubli will take a turn near hejjala people going to Bengaluru will get down there a different train regularly running to Bengaluru will carry Bengaluru pessengers from there. The main train will take that circular railway line and travel towards its original destination without coming to Bengaluru .
