This is a movie which was done at a very low budget and hence literally very little vfx. The heart of the grandma was pumped from outside to replicate a real heart. It is just unbelievable how they managed to shoot this movie without vfx.

JUst completed watching Tumbbad, great reactions guys This movie took 13 years to make, they all shot it on the live locations and all the scenes of rain are real..... They literally had to wait for the rain to fall.... That's why it's such a masterpiece. Tumbadd is famous for the curse of rain and its said that the gods are upset over the people of Tumbadd thats why it rains immensely over there. It is a real place in the state of Maharashtra, India around 350 kms from the city of Mumbai.

Actually this film is based on Marathi Novel. Wishes, selfishness never end. Until our death, and after death. 🤐. Haster means good evil. The old woman is shown as a ghost (unstoppable wishes) and the area is kokan, Maharashtra. The name Tumbbad comes from “Tumbbadche Khot" a book by S. N. Pendse. However, the story of the movie Tumbbad is loosely based on two different short stories, both by Narayan Dharap. This one is by far the best film made in India. Those poor souls who made this film, had to go through nightmares, they didnt have money, weather, production and many more issues. Indian public did not give as much credit it needed but they did to stupid bollywood stars films.

I just watched it first time ever after it's re-release in cinema halls. I'm glad after missing it on the release I waited for so long and was lucky to able to watch it on big screen.😅 Lucky me.. not every masterpiece re-release.
