I liked the way this clip turned out! was a challenge as bits of video had to be synced, and the camera was turned off a couple of times so getting the syncing right (with audio) was very difficult as I had to count picture frames which involved using considerable grey matter..lol, hope you enjoy,I thought the three of us worked well on this, considering playing it cold. it was the second recording of the day and was originally ment just as a warm up but like 'Grunge' was one of those recordings you get when you are just enjoying playing!

Is the fender amp in this clip the one you got 30 years ago John?

The small amp on top of the Marshall quad box is a home made Marshall JTM45 Clone, that I built and redesigned to give me more power and more dynamic.I am building another right now. Called 'the bluesbreaker' a similar amplifier was built in a larger combo in 1962 onwards, used by Eric Clapton and others. I put the larger amp in a smaller combo that the 18watt Marshall ('son of bluesbreaker')is usually packaged in to make it light and portable as possible. It has larger transformers hand wound in the US and is actually a cross between a JTM & JMP Marshall. I really wanted a small amp that would give me a unique tone that nobody else has. The mass produced valve amplifiers today suffer a lot from lack of build quality and bad valves, I always end up using NOS (new old stock) valves that give me the warm guitar amp tones that new Russian Valves or Chinese valves give. The US or England no longer make valves but their's are still the best in the world and have never been equalled. The amp your'e thinking of is most likely the Marshall JMP from 74 which I still use in my studio but don,t l don't always take out to gigs due to its size and weight. The Quad box here is Allan Kelly's that I plug into when I'm over at his studio recording.
