That's a great tradition and I like that tune. I appreciated the two err 'variations' it made me realize that if I keep learning for the next 20 odd years I stand a chance of sounding good.

What does the title mean? I found "keelman" on Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keelmen ), so I get that part, but I need help with the rest.

Ower is over...so it's a keelman who is on land (not in his keel boat) Don't know any more than that - sorry! It's a tune I've known since I was a kid - not entirely sure why it suddenly popped into my mind here....

@@TheKathrynTickell Thanks for the reply. This is one of the tunes that I've been learning on my clarinet in anticipation of getting the pipes I've ordered. It's nice to know a little more about the tune.
