I really need to do a updated video the truck has changed so much since I made this video it now has 250/100 injectors and a kc 66/73 and a irate competition fuel system and it’s a completely different animal.

Focus on the monitor this time, we don’t care about the Speedo, we want to see the numbers on the CYS. ICP, boost, back pressure, EGT. Speedo……don’t care, also be nice to see how much smoke is rolling. Have the same setup but a 63/68 turbo, and 180/30s. Can’t run that big of an injector as the dually does dually stuff like pull 12,000 lbs in 104 degree heat here in south Texas. Pistons would melt with that injector in it.

@@Jobro_Ya_Know i always hear that running more than 25 on stock internals is bad. I cap out at 22 and i know i have a boost leak for sure, i know where its at too. But is it really safe to hit 35? Im tuned with an mbrp 5 in and a gtp38r with a hydra tuner. Pretty much all thats done to it.

@@Kykyky603 I wouldn’t say safe necessarily. I haven’t had any issues yet since It was done. The hydra was put on 4 years ago and when I use it is towing 90% of the time. No problems. My dad owned it before me and he was coming back from California towing a 24 foot enclosed loaded with a car in the back at 90mph(25-30 lbs of boost constant). Still running strong. Not sure what’s done to it tbh(as in what turbo,I believe the injectors are stock along with hpop)

That's how fast my early 99 f350 7.3l is with the 140-150 hp tune setting off the ts 6 position tuner. Everything is stock pretty much unless you count a cold air intake. My guess is the turbo and injector is stock here.

I have stock injectors with a few other upgrades and a Stage 1 KC300X. With the low stock gear ratios I use 3rd, 4th, 5th gears around town when not towing on level roads. No lugging - I don’t hold the lane up on that 2nd to 3rd gear shift.

That tune is weak. It’s a safe tune and if your running stock injectors you don’t need a “safe” tune. Php can 140 horse tune maxes the stock sticks out through the full rpm range

Stock injectors are not always safer. A bigger injector can run a short pulse width and in turn create less fuel injected after TDC which often lowers exhaust temps. A pyrometer is the only way to know what’s safe.

The difference is the civic can't turn around and tow 2 more civics behind it while the super duty can haul 2 more super duties behind it. Great acceleration comes at the sacrifice of larger towing capacity and vice versa so when you see a truck come close to a medium fast car just know that's a fast truck
