Hi Paul, sorry to hear about the sale simply because I found your vlogs really interesting given that I own an M2C. The JP SL01 wheels, what size and offsets did you go for? Someone local to me is selling a set and the ET is 24 front and rear and I’m clueless as to whether that’s a concern or no worries. All the best with whatever you buy next and and thank you again for the really interesting M2C series of vlogs. Cheers, Kevin.

Love your channel. I just test drove a 2024 M2 the other day. I am interested in this vehicle as it is on s short short list. I have heard that the cost to upkeep this vehicle is terrible, but the question I am asking is that the same if I bought a new vehicle and never tuned it. How reliable are these and is the cost compared to ownership experience worth it. This would be a daily driver. I just want owners to reply and give me your ownership experience. I would have to drop close to 70K and then 5 years later have major issues. I heard after 75K miles there could be issues going forward and I do not want that.

My only question is why buy an M2 as a daily driver? You're better off with a 230i. Cheaper, lower maintenance, lower fuel consumption and in bumper to bumper traffic you'll barely notice the difference between the two
@brianmiller50749 ай бұрын
@@TunedIntoCars zThanks for the response , I have looked at both I really like the feeling when you hit the gas on the M2. I have yet to drive the M230i, but I can not imagine I would get that exact feeling. My biggest concern is you hear with from many with all the plastics, and the technology you are set for major repair cost 4 to 5 years down the road. They also told me that the GTI that I owned had a terriable reliability rating and I had mine for 5 years with zero issues. I was just wondering is it a concern only for a used car? If you get a new vehicle and care for it will there be issues? I have had Toyota's, Mazda's, and Volkswagen with just minor maintenance will I get the same with the M2 if taken care of it the same? Thanks again for the reply.

You won't get the same feeling from a 230i, compared to an M2, of course. But you said it's going to be a daily driver, so I assumed it was going to be used for your comute. And in that scenario having an M2 over a 230i is not going to make a big difference. Regarding reliability I have no clue. These M2s have barely been released for 8 months or so, so that remains to be seen.

I added a Milltek full exhaust, $5000 and Bilsteins $1000 to my 987 Boxster S. But my favorite mod was the lightweight flywheel and Porsche short shifter. ECU, underdrive pulley, carbon fiber steering wheel and shifter completed my mods. Sold it and got a 981 Spyder 😹😹

You know what they say... buy it, fix it up nicely and then sell it :D

Why even bother if you sell the car after 1 year (and only several months after last mod)? What's next?

@@schwagier I mean, I really did explain the reasoning in the video, in quite a lot of detail. I did enjoy the car, quite a lot and when I stopped enjoying it, I sold it.

Could you please share the me the name of this local shop in where you changed the exhaust? Previous time I did that to my 2 series it costed me double here in Stockholm.

Hello Paul I don't get it ... First you talk about the new suspension very positive and it seems like everything is perfect. But then at the end of the video it's not what you were looking for (still bodyroll etc)... If you change for a Porsche, I can understand you. It can do everything a little better 😉
@TunedIntoCars3 жыл бұрын
I was quite detailed in my explanations, I believe. Please watch the video. The suspension is a big jump forward, it fixes a lot of issues, but the car still bounces around on bad roads. Never said there is still body roll. Quite the opposite. I said it's significantly reduced.

@@TunedIntoCars My mistake... I understood at minute 16:50 "I hope I can avoid *bad roll side*". I watched this scene twice already 🤦😅

Glad you didn’t lose any money on it, make sure you get to test drive on your roads before you buy next time so your not in the same boat, modding isn’t something I’d do personally if I don’t like it I don’t buy it, has to be a Porsche next surely 😂
