idc what anyone says id take one of these over a m3 or c63 amg anyday...the sound of the japanese v8 is so superior...Could care less about if its a few milliseconds slower 0-60. sound is king unless you at the track...but how often in reality is that a factor.

@@ghidraa9340 very true but as much as I absolutely love the OG c63 those head bolt jobs are going to kill your patience with getting them fixed I’ve seen plenty of beemer turbo fails. The Lexus IS a better deal hands down. Maintenance and reliability speaks volumes.

You need to give it about 50 - 100 miles for the ECU to properly learn everything. Also, the only way you will know if there is a difference, is by a dyno. A 10 - 15 whp difference is not going to be noticeable going by just subjective impressions.

@@raysp3c Yeah, quite possible. I put Octane 94 in my RCF with only intake and exhaust. Even on OEM tune, I feel a difference between Octane 91 and 94. I could imagine on a tune, it might be a bigger reason.

Yeah, I used to do e30 blend but it felt useless with the tune. It’s a high compression engine so knocking is a possibility

Maybe, try with traction control off. I suspect the traction control might be cutting in after 1st to 2nd shift. I have only AFE Stage 2 full intake and Invidia catback exhaust. No tune yet and I get very continuous power delivery across the rev range, but I have very sticky tires as well which are hard to break traction on.

I tried everything, I ran a bolt on c63 NA that night and was about even. It’s nice but still the slowest car in the fleet lol

@@raysp3c I was wondering about you mentioning power cutting out after shifts. I don't experience that in mine and I don't have the tune. But yeah, I don't drag race. Even though I ran even with a 6MT C6 Corvette with exhaust last year from a roll race. I take it to the track and that is where my RCF carbon/TVD does very well for car with stock suspension and a couple of bolt-on mods only. Cheers!

@@raysp3c Also, FBO RCF is definitely much quicker than just exhaust RCF. Headers are the bolt-ions proven to give the biggest gains. I believe you ran an FBO + tune ISF and were about dead even, but FBO + tune RCF puts out about 30 - 35 whp more than an FBO + tune ISF.

Thats the Pros and cons of the RCF tranny, almost indestructible but it can be laggy if you don't shift with enough gas.

It might not be apples to apples either way since Ray has air suspension also, which makes the car much heavier than with stock suspension. I have heard it could be up to 100+ lbs heavier.

U won't loose low end torque on RCF. On ISF I definitely noticed the loss. May be RCF ECU accounted for it and made adjustments.

There's a process called "base line tuning". You should have run timed stock 0-60, 0-100, and 1/4 mile runs so that after you installed the tune, you would have DATA to compare to. Just a thought for you before you try any other mods.

Honestly, the tune needs work in my opinion. I’m in the middle of trying to figure it out now and switching back to an oem ecu and it could be a coincidental but I’m getting all sorts of error codes after about a month of install. The car felt faster but the overall drive feel is not good. Part throttle driving especially on downshifts is pure suck. It needs fine tuning for sure, right now it feels bogus overall.

Well, it seems that the Lexus community is slowly noting that RR tune doesn't do shit. I get rocks thrown at me for saying it to everyone bragging as if that tune did anything. Even the guy at eat sleep drive gained like 5-8whp out of the tune in the ISF. So, technically all it does in the ISF is raise the limiter and let go the converter after 7k rpm lol!
