From videos covering RCDC I found out that in Japan 13.5t is the new 10.5t and the recommended more torque motor is now 15.5t

In the future is I get my hands on an RDX I will totally get a bunch of videos done on many aspects to the chassis but for now it’s gonna be just tuning vids. And set ups. Taking time as it’s a solo project but soon to pick up!!

I am curious how to calculate the inner ratio of the transmission? Thanks so much for your effort into RC drifting. You are a boss!!

Glad I found this video! I was looking for information about the pinion gear and learned a lot more about FDR. I hope you see this and reply: What is that on your front right tire? Also what tires do you recommend for traction? Right now I'm all cambered out because I like the look, but don't really move well.
@SHREDDITRC Жыл бұрын
The tire sticker is from @final kaiju in Ig. Hit him up for those slaps 🤘🏻🤘🏻 And too much camber isn’t allowing for a proper contact patch. Having oni-kyan looks super cool but it’s not very practical. Good starting point for rear camber is -2 or even -3. And In the future there will be an alignment vid for sure!!! So keep a look out.

Ackerman and anything more advanced will come a little later maybe video 3-4. But for now I’m just building the basics and trying to keep it simple.

Hi there :) I plan to get a LDRC 1/18 drift car and was wondering how I would do the math for it since it doesn’t have a spur gear? It’s just the pinion, some gears in between, and the diff.
@SHREDDITRC3 ай бұрын
@@athenovae That’s kinda tricky. AS AN EXAMPLE!!! You would need to find out the number of teeth of the internal gears, the diff, and pinion. Let’s say you have 4 gears total ( pinion, 2 trans gears, diff ) you need to calculate the ratio by dividing 2nd trans gear and the diff( 12/38-3.16). Do the same with the pinion and the other trans gear( 15/12-0.8) . And multiply the resulting sums of the 2 gears( 0.8x3.16- 2.528) that’s your full gear ratio.

Thanks man, I'm an rc enthusiasts dirt oval guy, but I've been up in the air about getting into the drift scene. What would you recommend for a first car? I'll be running on smooth shop floor

Personally a kit ( the reve’d RDX is arguably the best kit hands down no upgrades, and no hassle ) gives u much more proudness as it’s a creative process from start to finish, but if u don’t live near a track I’d go for a MST RMX 2.5 RTR out the box they are solid and honestly a good platform to start off with. Where do you live I might be able to find a track near you.

Thank you for the vídeo. Some graphs or drawings would help to fix the information and understand more about FDR on drift.
