I have one question. WHy is it that the torque on the diesel engine drops consistently from 3000rpm to 4500rpm. When I monitor the boost on vcds, the boost is constant 1 bar from 1500rpm to 4500rpm, so why is the power dropping, when we supply enough air all the time?

Hello Darkside crew. I am very much interested in this buid. From your previous video you said that the original gtd2060 is capable for ~300 HP. What boost levels do you recommend max for the original gtd2060 and how much for the upgrade turbo? let's say at 3000 rpm and at 5000 rpm. Appreciate your reply.

@@1PotatoeMasher1 I get that they are a diesel tuner. By my username you will see that I also am interested in diesel's having done plenty of track days in tuned tdi's. Almost 20 years ago I had a MK2 golf with a MK4 TDI, 2 turbos, and over 220hp, so I know a bit about them. For a car that does lots and or road work and some track days then a diesel makes some sense. But not as a track based car that does some road work. For a track based car I have moved from diesel to petrol. It just makes sense. You can drop a turbo and injections, fmic on a 1.8t and make 300 hp with a map. Want more, then a set of rods and you can make 400hp. Want more, then pistons and valves. Traction is a serious issue at that point. Torque has less relevance on a big open track like the ring. Torque rules on the road and for rally's. Horses for courses.
